The first thing to note about this fiddle is that it's beautiful. I'm no expert on instruments but this one is elegant consisting of gorgeous wood and accents. The second thing to mention is that I'm a total novice to the fiddle and choose this one because it's designed for beginners. The price is quite modest. Again, I can't give an informed opinion about how the sound of this fiddle compares with others in this or other price ranges the way an experienced player knowledgeable about how different instruments sound, feel and play can do. That said, I find it easy to play and hold, enjoy the sound it produces and like love the look of the thing. I can think of no better choice for a beginner. I hope to become good enough to upgrade in the future but am really pleased with this as an introduction to the fiddle and gladly recommend it to other beginners.

It came defected

It’s pretty good, it’s a little fragile though so be careful trying to tune it. It’s great for starters or beginners. This is for practice only, I would not recommend trying to play this for other purposes at all, it’s definitely not made for that. Please don’t get this unless you just want to get a feel for it because it’s really not great for anything other than that.

Just got this in today and had to immediately leave a review. I bought this violin to use as a prop in a video. For those purposes, it works fine. However, if you want something that you can actually play, do not spend your money on this. Save up a little bit more and buy a real violin. Just take a look at the other reviews where people have bought this with the intent of actually playing it.

Excellent quality and craftsmanship. This Violin is very well made with a beautiful natural wood finish. We wanted something that was not overally expensive and was suitable for my child to start learning musical instruments. The professional music instructors said this is a pretty good quality violin with bow for the price point. Comes with a nice lightweight carrying case.

At first blush, the case is attractive and seem adequate for the instrument. It had a blanket for the violin but there was no cleaning cloth included. The instrument is varnished with this ungodly super shiny finish that hurts the eyes to look at. Overall it appears to be a violin with the relatively proper dimensions. Unfortunately this order did not include a sound post, the "soul of the violin". The strings are substandard and low sound quality. G string broke on initial setup. On the plus side an extra set was included in the rosin compartment. The nut slots were very high, improperly spaced and unplayable. The pegs, to my surprise, fit well but did need peg dope to hold. The bridge was already dimensioned and at the right height for the strings. The bow was usable and stood up to being rosined. It was also straight, which is nice. If you are expecting to save money by buying this $80 violin you will be disappointed. You will have to hire a luthier to set up this instrument.

Excellent craftsmanship and the sound is fantastic. Quality case and the finish is absolutely gorgeous.
