Plastic, not paper! Excellent variety!
These are not paper, they are plastic. These are as thin as paper but much stiffer, a little like the plastic in bottles. I wasn't sure what to expect given the lack of information in the listing but these are great and worth the money! I like miniatures like these since they are easier to store. The bases seem pretty durable and the plastic will last a long time if treated gently. Even the tall ones stand fine in the provided holders despite how thin they feel. The printing is of excellent quality! The designs are super cute and varied in both species and sizes. Many species have multiple so you can make groups. There are a lot of dinosaurs in this set. This is different from other mini sets we have bought, so we are excited to add some new creatures to our dungeons!

Thinner paper than some brands but good value for quick and dirty monsters.
Useful but not providing enough bases for the figures to be constructed prior to game. Pet peeve of mind because switching bases takes time away from game play.

I’m very pleased with this selection
Everyone knows that miniatures are hella expensive, and anyone into tabletop gaming knows that tokens can be annoying to try to incorporate into story and battle as miniatures. These 2D creatures keep the game tabletop oriented — no full shifts to digital — without requiring anyone to break the bank or severely limit their campaign. They’re great as miniatures you’ve yet to obtain in a more permanent, 3D form, and they can be toppled over with each defeat in battle, which puts them yet another step ahead of basic tokens. With this starter kit selection, you’ll have a great range of monsters and creatures at your disposal, which makes the set a dungeon master’s dream.

A whole bunch in one box!
The print quality is great! The box contains two bags with miniatures of various sizes - the back of the box shows every one, and there are some copies, and they vary in size quite a bit! - As well as a inner bubble-wrap sleeve for a set of 10 clear plastic stands for the paper minis, each about 3/4ths of an inch long. The minis aren't actually paper, they're much sturdier, some cardboard is visible as the inner sturdy layer, and there's an extra glossy layer of protection on top of the sticker with the image. Definitely a nice kit, that's reusable because of the inner bags, a great way to keep many small objects all together!

This is best used by DMs/GMs that want their players to know exactly who the ALPHA is!
While a lot of these creatures you're going to have to work a bit on homebrew stats for, this is a huge collection! The description on the listing isn't ~quite~ right, it's not really 60 small beasts and 30 big beasts. The way this set of minis is set up, you get 2 copies of 30 different creatures. In D&D terms, these creatures would range from tiny-huge all by themselves. Then you have single copies of 30 creatures that are what I can describe as the "alphas" or an evolution of one of the 30 creatures you have two of. The alphas range in size in D&D terms from small-gargantuan. All of the minis have the same artwork on their fronts and their backs, so if you're playing in a system that makes use of flanking based on direction enemies are facing, you may have to modify the minis in order to facilitate that a bit easier. The alpha dynamic could make for some ABSOLUTELY diabolical encounters! You get 10 clear plastic bases in the package, but they're all the same size, which would be small/medium in D&D terms. If you want to make it easier to differentiate monster size, I'd recommend maybe placing the plastic base on a different kind of base, or perhaps drawing an orb/square around the base so your players know the creature's reach!A single one of the minis I received (the evolved brainshroom) appears to be damaged, but 89/90 minis coming out without an issue is great. Also, the price is AMAZING, 90 minis (60 different ones) for $20? A Steal. I don't think I would recommend this particular set as a starter kit for minis if you've just started DMing/GMing though since they're not all monsters that have basic statblocks. All in all though, a pretty decent deal!
