Not 43lbs, but good enough
They will hold any pistol, but are nowhere close to the 43lbs hold that it claims. It will only hold about 10lbs, but if your pistol weighs more than that, you have other issues. Perhaps if the rubber coating was not there, it would hold more weight? Either way, good buy. I just wish the manufacturer was more clear about what their product can do. The advertising seems misleading to consumers.

Do not buy! Just cheap magnets glued to metal plate.
These are crap. The rating is definitely a lie. I have another set with a 35lbs rating that hold stronger than these. Took off the rubber and underneath are 4 sets of cheap magnets that are glued to a weighted metal plate.

but allowed easy quick access
I was looking for something to mount my gun and magazines in my trunk, for when I went in somewhere that wasn't gun friendly, but allowed easy quick access. The magazines are strong, but due to mounting restrictions in the trunk, I had to mount them sideways. The mounts are not strong enough sideways and had to be mounted side by side to be strong enough to hold my gun and two spare mags. I think if they were a 1/4 inch wider, it would make the mounting of them so much nicer. I also found that if your were not right on, the weapon would have a tendancy to fall off. Other than that, a good buy for the price.

Do not buy
Had this mounted in my truck and my gun fell off as I took a turn. On top of that it was a compact pistol.

Wish I bought something else
The sticky tape does not work so well. I attached it under the headboard and when I pull the gun away from the headboard the sticky tape stuck to the bottom of my head board and the magnet came with the gun. I attempted to use the screws provided and first attempt the heads stripped. I was trying to attach it to particle board not hard wood. The cover over the magnets is a cheap plastic/rubber

Glad I got the 43 lb versions. They're Awesome and blend right in the vehicle!
I was really looking at a number of other products that do something similar and decided to pay the few extra bucks to go with the 43 lbs strength ( and glad I did). My fully loaded Glock 21 and full-sized ( fully loaded) 1911 are held firmly in place by these powerful magnets. It's also cool that all the hardware is included....They even give 2 sets of self-taping screws. One set is longer screw and other is normal depth. The rubber material is awesome an leaves no marks on the firearms. Should have bought these a long time ago.

Not quite as advertised
Well made but will not hold anywhere near the stated weight. Will work for most hadguns not sure about a 1911 size loaded. My guess is not. Stars deducted simply for misleading wt.

Useless with 2 different Handguns
Neither a CZ-75 Compact nor a S&W Model 59 would stay mounted, horizontally in my car at the most conservative braking. Even mounting the 2nd magnet did not provide holding power. A dangerous situation when driving and firearms are combined. The CZ has a stock factory finish. The S&W is Cerakoted. I would remove them but I now have useless holes drilled in my cars interior. A useless and potentially dangerous product.
