It looks good & the cats love it! Sleek, modern, odorless, & sanitary.
I can’t believe that after 40+ years of being owned by cats, I am only now hearing of and buying my first stainless steel cat litter pan! I guess I was trained to buy plastic because it’s the only thing available in stores. As much as I hate ads, what got my attention was an ad for “senior arthritis cats” and “stainless steel litter box”! The litter box was big (23.5 x 15.5 x 4 ) and very close to the plastic 34 qt (24 x16 x 6) storage containers currently used with the difference being 2 inches in height. Since it’s a new year and time for a new litter box, I bought one for the kitties to try! I have two senior boys (an adopted bonded pair) weighing about 17 pounds each and both with arthritis. I also have a rescued female kitten who is now about 5-6 months old who will also be using the box. The litter box will be one of 5 in the household. Anyway, straight out of its packaging I was impressed. It felt heavy duty and sturdy, it was sleek and modern looking. Now let me tell you what I like so far:Stuff I like:- Constructed with grade 304 stainless steel- Simple sleek design and size fits well into any living space- Eco-friendly and 100% recyclable- It doesn’t have that cheap plastic feel to it. The construction appears well made and durable, but not too heavy for my fragile wrists (which was a concern for me) to move with or w/o litter. - Rubber feet on the bottom prevent the pan from sliding and protects your floor from scrapes & scratches. The feet are much thicker than those on my laptop and about 1 inch in diameter.- I don’t have to worry about picking the pan up and getting cut or scratched. It has smooth rolled edges that make it safe for me and the cats interacting with the box.- The 4 inch sides make the box appear more spacious. My cats were formerly living in the wild so anything small, confining, or enclosed they will not use. This gives them that open landscape view with room to maneuver, dig & conduct business while keeping an eye out for potential threats and being easy to escape from.- It’s true, it’s also less painful for your arthritic feline to access. The low entry height is perfect especially for big senior cats with joint issues like mine. Not only is it easier on them getting in & out, but they track less litter with the low sides. The boys now walk in-and-out from the box vs the jump/hop out of the box when finished.- The litter box does not smell! Stainless steel is non-porous so will not absorb or retain odors! Unlike plastic, your cat’s digging & covering activities will not develop scratches in the box that overtime absorbs urine to give you that strong ammonia cat pee odor. If you smell anything, it will be the litter or rather the “pee or poo clumps” that have been made in-between your cleanings.- It’s easier to clean and more hygienic. You don’t have to deal with plastic “leaching” and bacterial build-up. I have been cleaning the box with a plastic scoop that has been super easy on the non-stick surface coating (so far). I have yet to encounter any difficult pee clumps or sticky pancake residue that adheres to the sides, corners or bottom (everything kinda ‘pours’ out with a pan tilt). *It may also depend on your litter & frequency of cleaning.Overall, there’s not much to not like, since the pros outweigh the cons. Yes, stainless steel will cost you more upfront than the plastic version, but you won’t need to replace it due to odors, chips & cracks. This will probably last a lifetime and is definitely more sanitary, healthier, easier to clean, non corrosive, and odorless. Think of it as the forever box for your forever cat! I really do like the litter pan and my cats love it as well which is what really counts! 5- stars! As always, will update should things change.

Bigger than you think, great investment
TLDR; Great investment. My house has SIGNIFICANTLY less “cat” smell now. It’s very durable & easy to clean. If you’re a cat person, having a stainless steel litter box makes a world of difference & will last you a lifetime. The large one is GIANT, so maybe try to measure out the dimensions of the box in your space before deciding which size you get.I ordered the larger size because I’m bad at visualizing size, & in my mind, the smaller ones seemed like they’d be too small for an adult cat.The large one is HUGE, like an industrial litter box. At first it felt almost too big for my 1 cat, but now I live somewhere with multiple cats in the house. It’s great for a house/shelter/etc with lots cats. It’s big enough to fill the entire firebox of my (defunct) fireplace if that helps with size.It doesn’t get scratched up when the cats clean their paws, so there’s no little grooves for bacteria/debris to build up in. This helps with the smell a LOT & makes it so, SO easy to clean (I just rinse out any residue with a hose, no more scrubbing or trying to smack the box on stuff to get bits & pieces out).I think if I got another one, I’d get a medium size. It takes a LOT of litter to fill the large one to an adequate depth, so I fill it less deep than I used to with smaller litter boxes I’ve owned in the past.

A Clean and Durable Solution for Cat Litter Management
I couldn't be happier with this stainless steel litter box! It's been a game-changer for maintaining a clean and odor-free environment for my beloved feline companion. The stainless steel construction is not only sleek and modern but also incredibly durable. It stands up to the wear and tear of daily use, and cleaning it is a breeze. Unlike plastic litter boxes that can harbor odors and stains over time, this stainless steel option remains fresh and easy to sanitize. The generous size is perfect for my cat, and it provides ample room for digging and covering waste. The high sides help contain litter scatter, reducing the mess around the box.One of the standout features is the smooth, non-porous surface, which prevents clumps from sticking to the box, making scooping a hassle-free task.Additionally, the box's neutral design fits seamlessly into any home decor, and it's surprisingly lightweight for its size.

Deep pan for cats who love to kick
This is a game changer for anyone who still uses a manual litter box. It is deep enough for my cat who loves to toss the litter around like confetti. It is big enough for a normal sized cat. I am not sure about a big tomcat but for my DSH it works. The claim that litter doesn't stick is accurate up to a point. My cat likes to ONLY pee in one corner of the box. If I don't clean it at least once a day that corner will stick because it is over saturated. It is much easier to clean, and it most definitely does not retain odors like plastic boxes do.I do recommend this box.

Great litter box but the underside of the rim is sharp and cuts
I like the sturdiness, size, lack of odor, and how easy it is to clean, but the unfinished bare edges under the rim cut my fingers every time I lift the pan to clean it. Half the time it draws blood.

Love it
This is a little smaller than I’d normally use but it’s an extra box for the kitties. They are using it and it’s working great. So easy to clean and keep odor free. The stainless steel seems pricey at first but it’s so worth it to me for ease of cleaning and I feel so can better keep the box from growing things since it doesn’t get little scrapes where germs can hide like plastic does.

Purrfect litter box
I'm obsessed with this litter box. Bigger, less smell and easier to clean than porous plastic, and more durable-- what's not to love? The kittos definitely prefer it over the plastic ones as well, so luckily, I no longer have to buy those!

super achat
