Orico doing the 2.5 inch external drive cases right
I own more than one Orico drive enclosure because they build them right and sell them at a reasonable price (currently around $8-$10). Quite simply they are super easy to use and they work right out of the box with no lengthy setup, configuration or driver installations required. Screwdriver, we don't need no stinking screwdriver. Tool free operation. LED light on case shows activity, no guessing. Well done. Thank you.

Easy, Quick solution for portable hard disk for backup
I had a coupld of 2.5" drives lying around doing nothing. These were a simple, cheap solution for making them useful as backups for my desktop and laptop.Slide cover off, put drive in, slide cover back on and connect cable with USB connection. Works Great.

Very hot SSD when transferring data. This is not a USB 3 gen2 interface.
there is only one problem. Gets very hot SSD when transferring data and quality of plastic casing is not the best. Overall A decent 2.5" HDD/SSD Case. Not the best, not the worst. Gets the job done. while it has a USB C port, is only USB 3 gen1 which means 5Gbps maximum throughput. Not a USB 3.1 gen2.USB 3.1 gen2 means a 10Gbps interface. Data transfer using drive is decent. I get about 150MB/s using an crucial MX500 ssd. it's a good product.

B+ Good external storage option
The Good: - Decent USB 3.0 transfer speeds of 395 MB/s Read and 360 MB/s Write - Tested well Using a new 240GB Lexar SQ100 & an older well used 250GB Samsung 840 - same speeds - I love how easy the case is to open, sliding down from the top with minimal effort - Most 2.5in HDD should have no problem fitting snuggly in this caseThe Bad: - Build Quality seems a bit lower than expected but at 8 dollars I can't really complain. - No LED indicator lights of any kind. - The fit and finish looks rubberized or of higher quality - sadly it is not. Purchased due to the asthetics does not meet up to the photos.Otherwise, for 7.99 I can't really complain to much. It does the job. I usually use external enclosures such as these when upgrading customers older laptops. We pull that old slow hard drive and replace with a faster SSD. We then install the original HDD into this external enclosure which gives the customer all of their old files while their laptop is significantly faster.Overall, B+. If you need an inexpensive enclosure it'll work.
