While the cable does work, in so much as you see an image, if you use it on a PAL machine, and the game/level has a white background i.e. Mariokart 64 - Frappe Snowland, you cannot see the course so the game becomes unplayable.Googling the issue you will find that the PAL cable needs some extra resistors to reduce the brightness.Disappointed it doesn't work as expected, and more so that the cable I bought the system with was the same.I have ordered the correct one from an independent website.

Similar to other reviews here, this cable doesn't seem to work particularly well with my old gamecube, colours are washed out and the image is too bright to be playable

Playing on a PAL console the, the cable works as far as to display the image, however any white/light colours in your game will wash out to near oblivion. Playing Zelda on my N64 you can't see your rupee total, the fields are almost white, almost all subtitles are lost... it becomes basically unplayable.

Does the job. Get to relive my childhood with my kids. Be good if someone could make 64 comtrollers wireless.

Did the trick. Picture quality was average but did us fine.

We found an old Nintendo game in the garage but it wouldn’t work on our tv so ordered these leads and they came the next day, my fiancé and son are very happy they get to play the old school game.
