As described
These tops are thin material but not see thru. The fit is snug so I suggest sizing up. I am 5’1 129 and ordered a PM which fits perfectly. I really like the ballet style neckline-scooped in front, low back, 3/4 sleeves. The red is not a true red, more of a coral color. They were delivered in a clear plastic bag, no outside packaging. Both tops had dirty marks on the bottom hemline. I ordered them for a trip, so instead of returning, I used stain remover and washed them and they came out fine. Wish they had more colors.

Soft. Too short. Scoop is the back not the front.
People are complaining about the tag being in the front but that’s not true. The scoop is the back and it has more of a boat Nick front. That’s obvious one because the printer tag is in the back but the side tags are also on the wrong side if you put it on back to front. It is super soft, slightly run small But it is way too short. It is nowhere near the link that you see in the photograph. It’s basically at waist level. I thought for a minute it was a petite but no it’s just very short. That being said it’s a very nice shirt. It’s super soft and material. Looks like it’s a good quality just being warned don’t put your shirt on backwards ha ha

Poor material and tag placement--could have been reversible
I copied Siobhan Mckenney's review (...literally). She expressed it exactly as I intended.Bad piecing, fit is off. Feels like outlet.Reviewed in the United States on July 12, 2023Verified PurchaseThis is supposed to be a boatneck neckline with a scoop in the back. Except the shirt is effectively sewn as if the scoop is meant to be worn in front - the shoulder seams are too far forward for the shirt to be worn as a boatneck. Fits much more naturally worn backwards, but oops! The tag printing is directly on the shirt, and the material is thin enough to notice the print showing through. This feels like the lower grade, badly made outlet stuff that Gap releases with their label. Not worth it.

Fine basic shirt
I get the distinct impression that most of the reviewers here are confused as to what a ballet neck shirt entails. In short, this style of top has a high-cut neck in front and a lower scoop neck in back, similar to a leotard (hence ballet neck). The back scoop on this shirt is pretty modest, but to reiterate, the shirt is NOT printed backwards; you guys are wearing your shirts backwards. As far as quality, this is pretty much exactly what I expect from modern Gap. The fabric is a bit thin, but not to the point of tissue paper; however, you'll want to wash on delicate if you want them to last. I wouldn't buy these at full price, but on sale it's a good deal. The one nice thing about the back not being all that low is that it is very bra-friendly, even if you don't get to show off your shoulders as much. If you like a bit of room in your tops you might want to consider sizing up. I wear a size L in most brands and decided to go with an XL for comfort, which for me was the right decision--it's loose without being baggy when going that route, but if you like form-fitting tops I'd say it's otherwise true to size.

Logo on wrong side of shirt
The logo that normally goes in the inside back of the shirt is in the inside front and center and you can see the imprint. The shirts fit well though.
