Christino Artist Wooden Cello Stand

From a few feet away this thing looks great. However, I was surprised that the base elements are MDF (this is a dense wood byproduct, essentially consisting of sawdust and glue). I can't tell for sure what the upper materials are, though there is some indication they are also MDF. As anyone knows, MDF does not equal "solid wood". Do not be deceived. The wood carving on the corners is real enough, and adds a nice touch, but it may be glued on. The inside pads are soft as advertised, even on the bottom - where many other vendors use cheap Styrofoam. There is a slight mis-alignment of the bow holder, exposing an edge that may affect the instrument. Still, I will be very comfortable putting a cello inside. It will be used in a cello studio so the instructor can leave her instrument out between lessons without worrying. Time will tell how this thing holds up. The payment and delivery of this product went smoothly, even when other retailers failed to meet holiday shipping demands. Now that I have seen it I think it is over priced by $100.

This is such a inexpensive product, that when i bought it off the computer, i had a feeeling that there was gonna be something wrong- and i would have to return it. It arrived- and it was beautiful! literally, it looked better in person. The wood was nicely POLISHED and was a classy warm honey color. im taking this very critically by the way. And i have nothing to say. Its also great cause it has a bow compartment and it keeps your cello nice and balanced. its end pin hole is auctually wide enough in case the end pin is rolled out. Trust me this has a magnificent look once in ur perspective.I even took it to my cello proffesors , and he is now thinking to buy off here. I went to a store, and i asked them how much theirs cost, and they said around 300 to 400 dollars plus. I laughed- theirs wasnt any carvings, loosing polish, and had a few scratches on the wood. this is a great product!!!

The stand was beautiful when I pulled it out of the shipping container--the cherry wood finish and deep red lining were perfect for my music room. It obviously was packaged to prevent damage. However, as I was placing it where I wanted it to go, I saw three dents in one of the feet, and then saw that the wood along one seam was ragged and splitting for several inches. Although the price of $250 was supposed to be a special price, the stand was advertised as new. To me, packing and sending something so clearly damaged, probably in production, shows poor quality control. I returned it and chose not to try ordering another one.

This cradle is beautiful but we sent it back because the top rim was chipped in all four edges so it is a laminate over wood which makes it very heavy. Also the inside padding was pulled away so the adhesive they used was brittle. This was going to be a gift and it just was not up to standards.

I absolutely ADORE this cello stand. I looked at several and when I saw this I knew it was the one. It is a functional piece of art in my home! The wood grain is beautiful and it fits in with my decor perfectly. My cello now sits proudly by the chest in the foyer! It gets lots of oohs and ahhs and stimulates conversation as well!! I JUST LOVE IT!!!

Its made of plywood pieces cover with stain,I coulda done it myself n spend $60 max by doing so.

For months I had been loading and unloading my cello to and from the case. It was a pain and almost discouraged me from practicing. Now, with my new, Cristino cello stand, retrieving my cello for practice is a snap. This functionality plus the beauty of the stand gets a thumbs up from me. It is truly a lovely piece of furniture!
