Trainwreck: The story and the editing.....
Wow, what a train wreck this was to read. I have always been a fan of Ms. Farrell from her work in film and television in the 1970's. I always suspected on set, there was a lot of sleeping around and lots of drugs. Well this memoir confirmed that and more. I am sure it is even worse today. I guess it goes with the territory of show business.I am always amazed as I have read a few of these memoirs and actresses do not seem to learn from their mistakes or they don't want to or they are just not very smart. How could 6 out of 6 husbands be so awful. One worse than the last one? You would think even a "dim bulb" would not keep on repeating the same mistake and let them spend all your money?I guess it was a juicy read and really nothing all that surprising. I think what surprised me the most and is a big contributor to the low rating is how bad the editing is! So many misspellings and not to mention although I have never worked with either Jess Walton or Danielle Brisebois I know how their names are spelled!!! Those are just a few that really popped out.I assume money was needed or why else would as a mother let the world know so many trashy secrets. If Chance has read this I feel so sorry for him for both content and editing.I am glad I never made the trip to Tinseltown and try and "break" into what is called show business. I sincerely hope that Sharon is happy at last and has some trusting friends.

Book And Author: Two Total Trainwrecks
A complete and(mostly)rambling mess that apparently never crossed the desk of an editor, or at least not one who actually knew what he was doing. Farrell, not surprisingly spent time in a mental hospital, which especially makes sense when you recall reading that, "Mental illness is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result." I don't remember ever reading an autobiography where I realized that I was actually literally and frequently shaking my head in disbelief. When you consider the volume of drugs and alcohol this woman consumed coupled with her mental issues, you start to wonder if some of the more outrageous claims made in the book were just figments of her own wacked out imagination(the Che Guervera story and her apparent belief that she was - and still is - one of the most desirable women on the face of the planet in particular). Whether some or all of her claims and accounts are true, mostly true, sort of true, or complete fabrications, this is a grueling, depressing read both content-wise and from a literary standpoint. Pathetic.

A crazy roller coaster ride through the film business by a veteran.
What a roller coaster ride! I liked this book much better than LESS THAN ZERO, which had to do with corpses rotting away while still alive in Beverly Hills. This book was about depravity as well -- in the film business. I am convinced that if Miss Farrell had stayed away from drugs, alcohol, and Mr. ****** she could have gone to the top and stayed there. I read this book in seven hours -- a single sitting. I recommend it to people that are interested in the film business. There is much to be learned by Miss Farrell's experiences -- such as staying away from drugs, an excess of alcohol, and known con men. I also found it fascinating because I have crossed paths with ninety per cent of the people in the book, I have to admit.

Too Much Information
This book seems to have been written without any real insight, and no accountability for the author's actions. Some parts read like pure porn. The author admits to so many affairs with married men and going in to too much detail. In one section she writes of being suicidal and of how actor Tony Curtis took advantage of her weakened state of mind by seducing her which seems like a cop out to sleep with a handsome movie star with a big name. Sharon Farrell was an actress who never made it big and I wish she would have focused more on her acting career instead of her sex career. If you are interested in a person's description of their sex lives then this book is for you.

The Lady Is A Total Rock Star!
Awesome! A great book about her life from one of the last of the "Hollywood Royalty"! An awesome star from the golden age if television to movie star!

A Sad Disappointment
It is truly a shame that Miss Farrell was unable to find someone patient, competent and caring enough to help her organize her amazing life into a well-written and well-edited book.

Good period trash
Good trash. I love stories from Hollywood in the 60s. She kind of threw Joan Hackett under the bus but it was also obvious they were very close. The pics could of been clearer. Sharon is my Facebook friend and I'm glad she is still with us.
