Not an electrition or anything, and with a little bit of google was able to figure out how to wire it into the cieling (using old ficture connections). First of all, there are NO instructions and lots of parts, I was about to return it when I figured out how to put the contraption together. The light is fairly dim compared to normal cieling ficture lighting. It has a blue cast to it due to the colored glass. It does come with a LED light plate affixed, so if the light burns out you will need to replace a majority of the fixture (minus the glass cover, which is retained by 3 hooks two of which have springs). One positive note, the stars and moon are glow in the dark and will persist for a time after the light is turned off. Just, good luck getting it out of its shipping box.
