I bought this cap for my husband because he has to wear a black cap on his job and the company only supplies one. That cap is frequently too dirty to wear the next day. Who wants to worry about coming home and washing a darn cap after working 10 hours? This cap is far superior in quality. He wants to wear this one all the time. Because it is easy to clean he usually does just that. I paid more than you pay for an average cap but it was well worth the extra money. In this case at least, you get what you pay for and I am glad I bought it. Sometimes in our ever lasting hunt for a bargain I think some of us forget that quality counts too. And this cap, is quality!

As a soccer referee, I needed a plain black hat for two purposes: (1) to shade my eyes when looking into a late evening sun, and (2) to keep my eyeglasses dry during a rainy game. This hat has been perfect for both.Pros:- Durable construction- Uniform black color- Nice shape (both hat and brim)- Excellent valueCons:- Not quite as breathable as I'd like. This hat will make your head hot on a warm, sunny evening.

I have lots of hats with glitter and colorful trim, but really needed a basic black one for those bad-hair days when I have to run out to the store for some little nothing that seems important at the time. :-) I wanted black because it goes with more, so when I saw this "cheapie" at Amazon, I grabbed it up!For this low price I expected it would be poorly constructed, so I'm very pleased that it's sturdy, well-made and of good material. This cap appears to be excellent value. Most caps are $15- $18. The very low cost makes this product a bargain. The quality and styling are completely adequate for my use. This cap fills the bill for a low cast, nice looking black cap that can be used for occasional field hockey officials work. Since I don't use it for anything else, I cannot rate it as a heavy duty cap.

I'm a large male (Around 6'3 and 250 lbs) and this hat fits fine. I've gotta keep the velcro in the back almost secured by about a half an inch otherwise it's too tight. But it's great, durable, and comfortable. I wear it on the job 3-4 days a week and don't really have any complaints.It is a little tall looking though. I like it, but some people might not.

I'll resist the urge to rave about a $7 hat, but compared to what I've bought before: "Premium Flexfit Cotton Twill Fitted Hat," this hat is great. That other plain black hat is advertised as being the revelation in hat design, and it's color faded horribly after just a few months. I bought a 2nd one, same result. I've had very cheap hats that lasted years without that happening. So far, this one is looking good. If that changes, well, it's so inexpensive it's almost like a disposable hat! And that would be ok too.
