Renogy 100W Foldable Solar Panel Suitcase, 12V Portable Off Grid Panel, 2pcs 50W Solar Panel Suitcase Built-in Kickstand for RV, Campervan

After a lot of research I chose a Renogy 100w portable solar panel without controller as I have one built into my power bank. Now I eventually purchased two totalling 200w. On a sunny day in March I got up to 248w from both which is amazing in the spring sun. On a heavy grey cloudy day, no sun or blue sky averaging 10-20w. Don't be put off by them being heavy, they are not just robustly built compared to flimsy or flexible equivalents which don't stand in the wind and are annoying. So very pleased and would recommend .UPDATEThese portable solar panels have been great to point that I ordered 7 more and now have 9 of these. So when fully positioned and connected in two series, I would expect 900w going into my inverter bank. Although in late autumn with low sun on a good day or two was getting around 700w accross them all. Which is pretty good for a folding solar panel. As we go into winter it will be hit and miss, but at least than can be folded and put away in their cases.So hopefully next hot spring /summer, if we get one, will be the big test!Hope this helps anyone out there....oh and I have nothing to do with Renogy whatsover!!UPDATE 2Now we have had awful lot of rain, which is an understatement, but we had a good few days of sun a couple of weeks ago. So I thought I would give y'all out there another update! Out I went the solar panels, all 9 of them into a south facing garden all day. I occasionally monitored through invertor power bank and was amazed that they peaked at1078 watts in spring sun. I'm no solar geek by the way, just an average Joe. Anyway hope all this helpsUPDATE 3I feel like I'm monitoring these portable solar panels! Just like to give everyone as much info as needed for them to make an informed decision on purchasing.I have now 12 of them and have exceeded their total constantly in good weather, 1200watts plus. Being fully portable, modular and flexible, it was a no brainer. They can be set up anywhere and left, checked on and turned to face an ever moving sun. Now you can't do this with a fixed panel of any size. I've taken a few camping with inverter to top up and trickle charge. Taken set up to work to charge tools and work lighting etc, so to keep working. Yes you can get bigger and more wattage output but the weight increases to a point that it's not viable to transport. As in past last updates, I am very pleased with the Renogy portable solar panel.

Get 80w on a sunny day to charge my portable battery power station. Just need more sunny days.

For a hobby project I needed a couple of small 30–50 Watt solar panels. I already had several Renogy solar panels and they all delivered the specified power output, so I knew what brand to get.The individual renogy 50W panels were £53 but I found this folding suitcase model on offer for £90. It is rated at 100W and consists of two 50W panels, so £45 per 50W panel. Result!The panels itself have an average weight but with the addition of the folding suitcase hardware, the set is quite heavy. No consideration for my intended application but buyer beware. The adjustable kickstands and other hardware have been removed but will definitely come in handy for another project.The big surprise was when I tested these panels with a Victron SmartSolar MPPT charge controller linked to a 100 Ah LiFePO4 battery. Not only did the panels meet the specified 100W power output, they surpassed that and in one occasion delivered a maximum output of 124 Watt (see screenshot)!If you want a folding suitcase but weight is a consideration, I can recommend the Renogy EFLEX models. I have three of the 120W versions and love them. If you don't mind the lifting, this is superb panel!

Well packaged. Solid carry case. Certainly outperforms expectations. Sunny days 71+w better than truck alternator. Highly recommended. Charging Jackery 500. No need to buy Jackery solar at twice the price!

As the heading says strong and well made. BUT HEAVY. Thats the price you pay for sturdy construction.This is my second purchase so that must say it all. 6 amps on a sunny December day [2022] which at 13.5 volts is approx 80 watts and I've go two pairs so 160 watts in winter. Not Bad. Nice to be able to face the sun and tilt to 45 degrees to maximise output. flat on roof is more convenient but not as efficient. Plus with these I can park in the shade and put panels in the sun.
