A Great Replacement for Climbing Sticks
Bottom Line Up Front: Overbuilt (also very heavy), well designed (did I mention heavy), and an alternative to ladder stands. It also eliminates the 'falling backwards' feeling of climbing sticks. If you can get past the heavy weight, these are great. I'll be replacing my traditional climbing sticks with these because the trade-off is worth it for me.This thing is built from thicker gauge steel than any ladder stand or climbing stick I've ever owned, including Millennium, and Summit. Welds all look even and uniform (they're painted). If you can get past the weight, the rigidity from using stronger steel is worth it. I am not worried about leaving them out for as many seasons as I want to. The stand is also relatively quiet, and definitely quieter than thinner gauge ladder stands. Why someone else didn't come up with this idea before is a mystery. The design is simple. The 20' stick (they also make a 16') has a bracket that swings out near the top of each of the five 4' sections and is locked in place with a quick attach locking pin. Each of the sticks seats into the one below it and then is locked onto the tree with a ratchet strap. The bracket gets shorter on each stick so that the whole thing leans closer to the tree as you get higher. The bottom section has a base that digs into the ground to secure the stick from moving. I have a fear of heights. Climbing ladder stands has never been an issue, but using my climbing sticks, especially installing them on the tree, has always been uncomfortable. at best Anyone who uses climbing sticks understands the 'falling backwards' feeling you get when using them. This ladder stick eliminates that feeling completely. You will still need a lineman's belt to install these on the tree and there's no way around a little uneasiness during installation. There is some looseness on each section until you attach the ratchet strap, but it's only that one section that's loose. The sections below it, the ones you are standing on that are already strapped to the tree, are rock solid. This product is a night and day improvement over regular climbing sticks. So what's the bad news? Weight, a whole lot of it The 20' version has five sections that are each 4' long. The combined weight is nearly 50lbs. The other issue is size. At 4' long, you aren't maneuvering through thick brush with these strapped to a frame pack. But if you can get this stick to your stand location on a game cart, ATV, or piece by piece, it is worth the effort. I loaded them on a game cart and pulled them about a mile over hilly terrain because I thought it was worth the effort. When you add up the cost of 3-4 climbing sticks to get to this height, the price is competitive. I'll be buying another 1 or 2 of these after the season's over and eventually, replace all but 1 set of portable/fold up climbing sticks with them.

Awesome feeling climbing up into your stand in the dark!
At 67 years old and still climbing 20+ feet up into trees to bowhunt, I was ready for this. I used to hate the feeling of falling out backwards off the upright tree steps. This solves that problem. There are steps on both sides of the ladder side by side so there is no problem finding a step. And they aren't real far apart like many, and the cleats really grab your boots. Of course, all ths stability and safety comes at the cost of weight - this thing is heavy. Also, because the bottom pieces are further away from the tree, it is very difficult getting the ratchet strap around the tree on all but the top length. But once it is up, it is sturdy. The directions say to put it all together and put it up onto the tree, but that would be at least a 2 man job, and I am by myself hanging stands. I may leave a tree step in the tree at the top when I take it down, and throw a rope over it next year and try to pull it up in one piece that way. But unless you are an ox, there is no way you are putting this ladder up in one piece by yourself. Never the less, by myself,, I put together from the box, took it down into the woods in my tractor in pieces, hauled it 100 yards into the woods, and it and the Millenium Magnum stand hung and done in one hour. I was amazed. And it is a pleasure to climb up into on a cold, dark morning!

Great Climbing Sticks/ Loud Loud Loud!
I just got the gravity forward sticks attached ( but not yet ready to hunt ) to my tree stand location yesterday. First it is a solid product, very strong and gives a sense of climbing confidence. That is what I was looking for. For who ever considers this product here it is cut and dry.. very heavy! you will need a quad to get them out to your location.. takes at least an hour to get them set up an attached correctly, two guys speeds this up.. once attached and tightened solid as a rock.. Very Very Loud! Hard to believe this was missed.. the step design is a open doubled lip (open on the outside of the step).. this design opens the steps up for a sustained audible vibration when objects are pulled off. (Like your boot and gloved hands). Filling the sticks with foam will not correct this. There is no doubt that a early morning entry will be heard by all deer you are trying not to disturb.. I am keeping the stick because I have figured out a way to silence them (tie-wraps within the foot groves and or simple hockey stick tape) this stops the audible vibration of the steps.. The way to describe it is Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnngggg when tapped or scrapped.. My only disappointment is having to go back out and correct the steps (and there is a good amount of steps to silence/another half hour of work). Solid climbing system, Loud Loud Loud..

Best Climbing Sticks I’ve ever owned!!!! Hands Down
I’ve owned and used about every set of climbing sticks, ladders and steps out there on the market. After seeing these Hurricane climbing sticks at the ATA Archery Trade Show I decided to give them a try. Hands down the best thing I’ve ever done. These climbing sticks aren’t the lightest by far, but they are highly dependable and built like a tank. The forward climbing system is absolutely safer than anything else I’ve used and they are rock solid and absolutely no shaking or wobbling. The Hurricane climbing sticks assembled very easily and all parts were packed and included as they should be.Overall I’d highly recommend these climbing sticks to anyone looking for safe, solid built, Inexpensive and a great design. I will have these on every setup across 4 states for now on.

Well made climbing Sticks
Very well made with nice finish and good instructions. Rock solid as each 4 foot section is strapped down. I like how you can strap down each section, as you are climbing the sticks. Love the forward gravity aspect of the sticks, you feel very secure as you climb. The only draw back is the sticks must be used on a very straight tree, if your tree has bends, you will be better off with sectional sticks.
