Great gift idea and quality product
I got this for my girlfriend for Christmas because she absolutely loves Dandelion puffs, and she loved this gift! Although I had no intention of her using this as a paperweight (which she doesn't), it is still brilliant decoration and conversation piece. The resin is crystal clear and has a good weight to it. The size is true to the picture shown - it fills the palm of your hand at roughly the size of a racquetball. Whether you just want an interesting, out-of-the-ordinary paperweight, or you have someone special who likes Dandelions, this is a great gift.

It's pretty, but sure wish it was glass.
It's pretty, but made of plastic and therefore lightweight. It's also a bit smaller than I was expecting. I'm glad I didn't buy it when it was 69.95. Still, 49.95 is still a good chunk.

The Sacrificing Dandelion
Purchased this because my Son (11 year old Boy) told me that Dandelions are sad, magical flowers because they sacrifice themselves to give life! It was right around Mother’s Day and he asked “Why florists do not use dandelions in their flower arrangements?” I sort of explained that they are seen as weeds and my Son retorted, “Roses have thorns, daisies are plain, but dandelions represent Moms…Moms are always giving and sacrificing!” Wow!
