Exceeds all my expectations
I have the Ancheer 27.5 Hummer. I have just over 200 miles on it. It has met or exceeded all of my expectations. I did a lot of research before buying, and this bike is better or equivalent to other bikes costing twice as much. The Ancheer brand caught my attention because of all the great reviews.SIZE: What worried me about the other Ancheer models was the small wheel size and the small frame size. I am 6' 1" and weigh 200 lbs. The bike size is large enough for me even though I plan on buying a taller seat post and I will also raise the handle bars eventually.POWER: 500 watts is perfect for what I use it for. I do not use the throttle. I mainly ride my bike for exercise. I live and ride in the foothills so the pedal assist makes the steep hills more manageable. When I first got it I would use 35% pedal assist which was plenty for the hills. I now only use 30% pedal assist.DISPLAY: The LCD display is amazing. It looks pretty high quality and you can program an incredible amount of things. You can set each bar of the battery level indicator to a specific voltage. You can also set if you want the throttle available during pedal assist (I didn't).BATTERY: The battery appears to be of high quality and I get plenty of range. I would guess 40 mile range for the type of riding I do on hilly roads at 30% power assist. I am a little disappointed that the battery did not include an on-off switch. The battery level indicator on the battery always indicates full when I press to check it.BRAKES: The lever quality is good but at this price range all brands use mechanical cable powered brakes which are not very powerful and which need constant adjustment. The stock brake pads were horrible, but for less than $15 I was able to upgrade to Shimano brake pads which greatly improved th braking performance. Eventually I will upgrade to hydraulic brakes.GEARS: This is a 21 speed bike which is great (3x7). The shifters look cheap but work just fine. I use all of the gears due to the hilly roads I ride on. Many competitors do not have 21 speeds. This is a must for me. That being said, you can only comfortably pedal at a max of 20 miles per hour. The bike will go faster but you have to use the throttle.SEAT: It is fine. I do not plan on upgrading.DISLIKES: Not many but I worry about getting a flat in the rear tire. Most high end ebikes. have an external connector on the cable run between the controller and the hub motor. This bike does not have that. I suspect that getting manufacturer support will be difficult. I have tried contacting them and was disappointed.CONCLUSION: This is not a motorcycle. I bought it to help make my exercise more fun. I did not buy it to go fast or to ride with throttle only (which it will do). The quality seems good. I am glad I bought an ebike and I am super happy with this one.

Great bike
Updated again a year and a half later. Still love this thing. Now has over 700 miles on it. Grateful I bought a second battery with the intention that it was extra and back up. I bought a rack for back with a bag, and carry the extra one with me for really long rides. I’ve made it about 25 miles over very steep elevation (3450’) elevation on pedal assist 2 with one battery, and changed out to the other battery to finish the last five miles. I’ve also gone 35 miles only using one to two bars (of five bars) on a battery with only 400’ elevation ride. As noted above, I’ve upgraded a lot of the bike. With the latest being new wider pedals because I use it almost daily for exercise and I do long rides. Definitely exceeded expectations but wish it could be purchased with the upgrades I did.Update to below. It’s been over a year. I’ve put 400 miles on it. Absolutely love it. I have upgraded several things though. Now have hydraulic breaks, added fenders, upgraded seat, upgraded grips (old grips hurt hands on long rides), and added some small bags, including a tool bag. This bike has been great. I go long rides, usually 14 miles or more, and have yet to have an issue with the battery. Some days I use pedal assist 1 all the way, some days I use 3-4. Depends how tired I am. Just love it. Wish the upgrades I did came standard. Wish it was lighter weight. It’s very heavy.I did a lot of research before buying this. I’ve been out only twice so far. So far... I love it! As all the other reviews say, the seat sucks. Buy a different one until the company fixes it. Otherwise, both rides I’ve done so far have been great. Second ride was 8.6 miles. The bike is fast. The battery was down two bars (5 is full charge) and I used pedal assist 0-1 the first four miles, then to test it out, I used 5 the next 4 miles. The last 4 miles was all uphill. Two bars down seemed like a lot, but it was all uphill and on 5 assist. So I expected that. This bike has made riding a bike fun again. Love the 21 speeds, though different from my two other Trek mountain bikes (non electric). Shifts differently/different gears. Still a great time so far. Will see what the next several rides bring. Assembly was easy enough, but took over an hour. The two cons. The seat and the bike doesn’t handle bumps well. Everything else... great!Update months later. Had some issues with gears after riding through mud. Still love this bike. Have done some 20 plus mile rides. Would buy again.

Brilliant E-bike
Absolutely brilliant electric bike, and does everything you could possibly want it to do. It is relativley fast but is limited to 22km/h but also comes with a host of other features, with the horn being incredibly loud as well as the headlight also being useful. The bike also functions as a regular bike with a range of regular gears. The one small criticism I had was that the instructions could be a little clearer/more detailed but overall assembly is relatively simple. However, there is no mention on how to install the throttle (which comes with it) but eventually I found (via a youtube video) that if you unscrew the small black box just infront of the back wheel you will see a port which corresponds with that of the throttle plug-in. All you need to do is connect them and attach the throttle to the handlebars and it adds another way to control the motor of the bike. However the bike functions without the throttle function as electrically assisted pedalling comes as standard.Delivery was relatively swift but disconcertingly there was little tracking. Courier however was efficient and polite. The battery is large and lasts well. The motorized wheel is already installed to the main chassis of the bike so you don't need to worry about installing any electrics, only the non motorized front wheel needs to be fixed in place, as well as the handlebars already wiredup to the motor. One thing UK buyers should be aware of is that the plug for charging is a 2 prong German plug so an adapter is necessary to charge the bike in the UK. It also comes with a display panel which shows your speed, distance travelled and time taken for every journey- although annoyingly the distance travelled does not reset for every journey. In conclusion, this is a great moutain bike for the price that handles hills and a range of terrains and gradients and weather. One very satisfied customer and would definitely recommend.

Best purchase
This is my second Ancheer ebike, the first being the cruiser step through bough for my wife. We are both retired and enjoy cycling but wanted to go a bit further into the countryside. This is, without a doubt an excellent ebike and once tweaked performs the job perfectly. I have done a few adjustments using the display. I come from an electronics and computing background which helped when working through the menu system. The first thing I did was change the readout from Km to miles. I have changed and tried the different assist settings from 3, 5, 7 and 9 levels but found 5 to be the best. My only gripe was that when out with my wife, her bike which only had 3 levels (and no display) that none of my levels matched hers and I was either too fast or Toor slow, for example with her on level 2 or mid and me on level 3 (mid) she was faster. The same in high. I resolved this by going into the assist level ratio settings and changed them with level 1 left as is, lel 2 changed from 61% to 65%, level 3 from 73% to 80%, level 4 from 85% to 90% and level 5 from 96% to A0 which is 100% now we are matched and the ride is much more enjoyable. Overall this is a really good value ebike and I would recommend it.

It’s ok
I bought this bike to get to work asI do 11 miles a day so got this e bike to help me outIt’s ok bike but after 2 months the light and the horn stopped working I emailed the company that was in the book and I had no reply nothing at all so I think it’s the wrong email address in the bookThen the gears went wrong and they are hard to adjust I took to a cycling shop they fix it but 2 days later gears went wrong so can’t change it too 7th gearThe battery life is ok but they say fully charge is 8 hours and then the green light comes on mean fully charge and mine never done that so I don’t know if it’s fully charge at all on the battery but it says it so on screen on the bike tho so not 100% at allI only had 2 punctures on the bike on the back wheel it’s a pains to do as have to unplug the cable from the wheel that took ages so gave up so took it too a cycling shop

No longer exhausted after a day riding
I am nearly 70 and definitely not as fit as I should be but still like to go out cycling with my family. My teenage son takes great delight in taunting me about being a slow coach. We decided to try it out and all went riding in the countryside for about 4 hours. I could finally keep up and not feel like I am about to have a heart attack at the end of the day. Most of the time I had it on the lowest setting only putting up to number 3 when we got to some steep hills then I was way ahead of all of them.Considering I am no light weight I was pleasantly surprised that the battery lasted all day and still had plenty of charge at the end.It is easy to assemble and there was a note about pulling out the guard for the rear gears. Although the tools are provided and are quite adequate I would recommend getting a decent set of tools to make life easier. It is NOT a mountain bike but an "OFF ROAD" bike which is perfect for my needs.Even without battery assistance it is still as good a bike as the off road bike it is replacing, except it is heavier.Without battery assistance it is a still good bike for riding on a level road for these aging legs.As these bikes are very desirable I invested in insurance and the Abus Granite lock. For the longer trip I bought the Topeak MTX DXP Trunk Bag with Topeak Super Tourist Uni Rack For Disc which fitted perfectly. If I have any criticism it would be the instructions could be better but if you read them through first you can work it out. Also the lack of mudguards which I added myself.Other than that it is a great bike for a heavy old man.Now I just have to ensure my son does not steal it from me.If there is anything to report I'll give an update after I have had my holidays in Cornwall.
