Bike Chain Tool Set 6/7/8 Speed, Bike Link Plier + Chain Breaker Splitter Tool with Chain Hook + Chain Checker + 3 Pairs 6/7/8 Speed Bicycle Missing Links

This rating is for the quick link pliers. They’re a nice small size you can put with the tools you take out on the trail with you without taking up much space or weight. They work fine on a 12 speed quick link. Dinged it a star because they work the opposite of how link pliers usually do. You have to pull apart to open a quick link and squeeze to close. Picture shows how these compare to the pliers from my home kit.The other odds and ends that came with this aren’t worth consideration but added no more cost than buying the pliers alone so didn’t penalize for them. The chain splitter tool has a poorly machined pin that doesn’t center on the chain pin so doesn’t work. The chain wear tool is a bit confusing to use and I had no use for 8 speed links.

There are much more expensive chain kits like this but for the number of times it will be used it is more than sufficient. The price is right.

Tool broke on first link got job done 1 time use.

This worked quite well for me. Gets the job done no need to spend extra on something you'll probably use once or twice.

Broke push pin does come with second pin this tool comes with master links does not fit bike chains had to reuse old pins and push back together tool did not last past pushing three pins went right in trash can

I've used chain breakers in past but this one is bad. With the center punch pin screwed all the way into the tool it will wander off center, its not straight.I did have to use pliers as suggested, but not in the way they showed, almost broke the plastic handle..Only through a prayer and sacrifice to the gods I was able to break a pin through (+1hr of cursing)If you unscrew the center pin half way and let it wobble against the threads it barely works, but tool is practically unusable after because of the damage it takes.I'd look somewhere else for a chain breaker, probably a name brand. Only reason for 2 stars is for other tools it came with that worked ok.

Worked first try. Didn't strip out like most $10 tools lol
