The media could not be loaded.  This is a great Every Day Carry (EDC) flashlight. The first thing you notice when you’re holding it is how well it fits into your hand and how comfortable it is to hold. It is a perfect size and shape, and has a great “hand feel.“The quality is excellent. I have several Sofirn flashlights and they are all beautifully made, very durable, and include high quality accessories.This flashlight is absolutely loaded with great, highly usable features. First of all, it is can be extremely bright on its highest turbo setting. Then there are eight levels of brightness altogether, from a very low 2 lm candle setting (great for when you have to get up in the middle of the night) all the way up to 2210 lm on turbo mode. You can set the SC31T Pro to step through these eight levels, or to ramp smoothly from lowest setting to highest. The Anduril software has a lot of other interesting functions which you can play with also. For example, when the flashlight is off and you press the switch three times, the light will flash to indicate the level of battery charge. If the light flashes three times, pauses, then flashes five more times, this indicates that the battery is charged to 3.5 V. A very handy feature!Another feature that I appreciate is the advanced temperature regulation (ATR) technology. If the light gets too hot, it will automatically adjust itself to a lower brightness level to prevent the light from overheating. You can set the temperature that you want this to happen. There is also low voltage protection, which steps the light down to a lower level when the battery is too low, to prolong battery life until the next charge.The SC31T Pro is a new improved model, which is 10% brighter than the previous SC31s and includes a new tail switch for quick and easy on/off. The light it produces is a good mix of spot (concentrated) and flood (wide).It fits nicely in your pocket and your hand, and clips to a belt or backpack. It is a great flashlight for hiking, camping, or EDC.

I own a handful of Sofirn lights including the prior iterations SC31 and SC31 Pro and so far this latest version SC31T Pro is by far my favorite thanks to the combination of side switch and tail switch while running Anduril 2.0 with built in USB type C charging port. It's a very good value for the price and I recommend sofirn lights to my friends and family when they ask me what's a good light at a decent price with this one being no different. I use mine at the moment as a bike light using the universal olight bike light mount as Anduril has several strobe modes that are useful when biking. The flashlight is well built and the prior models that I've had are still all in service and have held up excellently. This tactical flashlight is quite small but is very well made from aerospace grade aluminum. It has a very impressive bright light at over 2200 lumens when at the brightest setting. It incorporates a Simplified Anduril user interface that takes a little getting used to. I was not familiar with the Anduril UI before I got this light and I found it quite confusing at first. I'm glad this was the simplified version! That being said, the basic functions are quite easy to use once I got used to having both a side and tail switch.The intensity of the light is completely adjustable using the ramp up/down feature. It also remembers the last setting when you turn the light back on. Using the brightest "Turbo" setting causes the flashlight to get quite warm up so an undocumented feature is that you could also use this as a hand warmer. However, it does have a safety feature which will ramp the light down to prevent overheating. One of my favorite features is that it has a USB-C charging port built in so that I can charge this from the USB port in my vehicle.This is a nice flashlight and I will be keeping it in my glove box for emergencies but it will more than likely only be used as a basic flashlight using just the tail switch. In my opinion, at $40, this is quite pricey for a tactical flashlight when I will probably never use all of the advanced features. It is kind of fun to play with all of the strobe options (i.e. party, lightning, bike, tactical, candle), but these don't seem very practical to me and will probably never be used.

First things first. This flashlight is confusing to use. I read the manual and have had some flashlight friends show me how to use it, and I still don't know how to use most of the functions. If all you want is a bright flashlight, look somewhere else.More importantly though, this is a very impressive flashlight. It's bright when you need it and has OUTRAGEOUS battery life when you put it on a dimmer setting. We lost power a while back during a winter storm and we were able to use this flashlight all evening, and then night and through to daylight (in January) as a nightlight for my son. It stayed on no problem and still had enough battery to use full brightness when I needed to go to the basement that next morning. It hadn't even been on the lowest power mode, because I couldn't remember how to get to it!Summary: Don't buy this if you just need a good flashlight. DO buy it if you need a very versatile flashlight with incredible battery life and don't mind learning the user interface controls.
