We have a very large boxer with bonus-sized jowls. He used to have a 3L metal bowl we could only fill up 2/3 of the way in an effort to keep the floor from becoming a surprise slip-n-slide. Even with a rubber boot mat under the bowl, he probably “rinsed” the floor under his water bowl more than any floor has ever been rinsed in the history of floors. Eventually, I saw this bowl, read all the reviews and figured it was cheaper than a subscription service with Servpro, so why not give it a shot?To my surprise, the bowl is also 3L, but this one I can fill up most of the way and he actually drinks the water instead of sloshing it! I am losing a bit of muscle since I don’t have to haul as much water refilling his bowl all the time, but that was a risk I was willing to take.I love the non-slip strips at the bottom- he hasn’t pushed this bowl across the tile once. Easy to use, easy to wash, and we no longer slide like Wile E Coyote on a banana peel when walking past his food and water area. Our concussion rate has dropped significantly!In all seriousness, I’m considering getting a second one for our RV travels with him it has worked so well. Far exceeded my expectations and am very happy with my purchase.

We’ve always had big slobbering messy dogs that leave trails of water everywhere after drinking. Last year we added a golden retriever to our family and he’s taken it to a whole different level. I switched to a non reflective heavy bowl and that made it less exciting to splash around in and tip over but we still had the issue of him sticking his entire snout into the water, filling his cheeks and then trailing it EVERYWHERE. His beard, ears and chest are usually always wet.My husband sent me a video featuring a similar product to this one explaining that the dog’s grandparents had had enough of the water mess. He sent it to be funny because it reminded him of our situation and also highlighted how dangerous Crocs are on wet floors since I slip every time I pass the water bowl. Anyhow I immediately hop on Amazon to find a suitable water dish with a floating disk that has a decent capacity, dishwasher safe, easy to disassemble to properly clean. I settled on this one and anxiously awaited it’s arrival. When it arrived I gave it a thorough cleaning, installed the non slip feet, filled it with ice and water, placed it in the designated spot and all 3 of my dogs have used it with no issues. There is no water mess on the floor, I was actually able to put ice in the bowl without the golden retriever pulling every single piece out and hiding them throughout the house. And my favorite part so far is nobody is laying their head on my lap after their trip to the water bowl and then depositing the contents onto me.I guess the only downside is that only one dog can comfortably drink at a time. Although I will need to refill it about 3 times a day that is normal for us so no problems there. When the level gets low I usually toss the drool water onto my plants, give the bowl a rinse and refill it with fresh cold water. We’ll see how it goes, when summer break is over I may buy an additional bowl so they never run out while we are out of the house for longer stretches.And because I don’t want to completely ruin their happiness I do keep large steel tubs outside in the shade filled with fresh clean water so the can splash and play to their heart’s content.I really wasn’t sure how well this would work for us but it’s seriously one of my most life changing purchases. No more wet socks, slipping in water, my iRobot will be able to clean my kitchen floor easier, the floor will get less dirty in the pet feeding and watering area, can be easily cleaned in the dishwasher and the price is great. I’m going to recommend this product to all the pet owners I know.

Love this & what a godsend!Im a dogwalker & I have a van.I like to offer my guys some water while we travel from house to house to park but they'd always end up knocking over the bowls I'd put in & no matter what type of tray I'd put in underneath, there'd always be a mess. This bowl ended that & the guys learned how to use it easily - yay thirst quenched furkids & clean truck, thanks!

Given how our dog was dripping large amounts of water all over the floor, we needed to try something. This dog bowl works. Sure there is a small amount of fallen water near the bowl but no where near what we were dealing with previously. Our dog took to it immediately. In the centre of the floating disk there are holes which allow a small amount of water to show through. He saw the water right away and started drinking. BTW the bowl looks good, it's easy to clean, and holds a good amount of water.

This is a great idea. The overall product is good quality, the rubber stops help warm you that it's full. The exterior is a matte/non Shiney stainless finish. This is one reason for the rating. The interior has a nice shiney finish, I wished the exterior did, we'll see if this becomes a cleaning issue.The floating disk is a great idea to help keep things out of the bowl and control the splashing. However, not much water is visible and you'll have to train the dog potentially to drink and it'll push down. Most dogs I assume will be fine. If yours is lazy or challenged it may not work.Otherwise I think it's great.

It didn't take long for my dogs to get used to it and greatly reduced the amount of dripping. There was still a bit of dripping but not nearly as much as before. I take the floaty thing out if the dogs are really thirsty as it seems to lesson the amount of water they can take in at one time. I don't need to do this often as it defeats the purpose if I take out the floaty thing.
