Great Toy, The Dog Loves It
Love the Rosewood range of fruity dog toys. A friends dog has several of these fruits and I purchased the Pear most recently as it was his birthday, I knew he'd love it. So far the dog has the Apple, Banana, Orange, Lemon and now the Pear and all are great. The Banana is the weakest of the bunch (no pun intended) and split in two a few weeks after the dog getting his teeth into it. The Apple is the longest serving member and has lost it's squeak and bottom but still lives on.The Pear is an odd shape for a dog toy and I did wonder if the dog might struggle to get the larger end in his mouth or if he might hold it funny due to the shape. But he seems to manage it fine and loves playing with it. The bottom of the Pear is open, along with the top so it's hollow all the way through. The wall of the Pear is quite thick and strong though so shouldn't break over time with any luck. No squeak or anything with this one, just a nice quiet dog toy much to the delight of any dog owner who has to put up with noisy toys for sustained periods of play. These Rosewood toys do cost a reasonable amount, I pad almost £8 for the Pear but the dog loves his collection of fruity toys and they've lasted well. Just for the record, the dog is now 2 years old and has the sharp teeth that most young dogs have and regularly destroys most other toys, but these have lasted. Your mileage may vary and other reviewers have reported that their dog has destroyed one of these toys fairly quickly but I guess it depends which one you buy as they are all slightly different in shape, size and the way they are made.Top stuff and I'm sure I'll be back to buy another one to add to the collection.

Very happy doggos
We’re big fans of Rosewood toys in this house (2x terriers) but this one has been a huge hit. Perfect size to be carried in mouth, texture great to chew, still haven’t managed to remove the squeak which they love. These are safe, durable, fun toys. Ooh, and the raspberry bounces like a rugby ball which adds to the fun during games of fetch.

Poor quality
Got this for my pup for Christmas. Lasted less than a minute before she chewed the end off and had it in pieces.Choking hazard and dangerous. Steer clear!

our dog is mad for it!!
We discovered the Rosewood brand at a recent country fair where a stall was selling the items. They had a couple out for "play" and our lab loved the raspberry immediately. The stall had sold out of those so we bought the Apple. The dog is equally smitten - is it the shape, the easy-squeaker or the smell of apples that he just LOVES ? He has had it a week now and although he is a chewer, he has not gnawed it - but treats it like a ball.So we looked for the brand on Amazon and was pleased to find them - and we have got the Raspberry. We will leave it a while for the Apple to lose favour but based on his experience at the country fair, and his love of the Apple, I expect it to be an instant hit too.Well done Rosewood!!December 2024 update - both toys are still going strong and undamaged - our Lab is still nutty about the raspberry - I guess it just bounces oddly and keeps him on his toes.

Not quite indistructeble
I bought this for my 15 month old Miniture Schnauzer as he needed something to satisfy his chewing needs. Within 20 minutes the ends of the green skin of the toy had been bitten off. To be fair to the manufacturer, they did say it wasn't indestructible. However, the shape is good for him to grip and bite and although small chunks can be found on the floor (obviously I am vigilant of this for his safety) he still enjoys the toy. He has enjoyed the coolness of it in the recent heat wave when I've placed it in the fridge. I have not filled it with water and frozen it, as I didn't want melted ice leaking on my floors.

Perfect for retrieving from the water, great size/shape, and smells amazing
Roxy loves her banana. I bought it for her to use as a swim toy, as I thought it would be a nice size for her to grab in the pool, and it is perfect. It's easy for her to see, floats well, and is easy for her to grab. The only problem is getting it back off her once she's got out of the pool :) she's had it a few months now, and it seems to be holding up well, though we do try and get it off her if she starts chewing it. It's retained it's lovely fruity smell, and is so good that if she does end up chewing it up, I would probably buy her another one. She loves to just hold it in her mouth, as you can see from the photos!
