Philips LED Warm Glow E14 Small Edison Screw Dimmable Mini Globe Light Bulb, Clear, 6 W (40 W) - Pack of 4

Old GS9 bulbs were so difficult to change, some would be loose and fall out, others too tight and break. Change of light fittings and accessible screw bulbs great with my arthritis.

These lamps arrived today and are perfect for the new touch table light my wife bought. However they are NOT A energy rated as stated in the description. They are stated on the box when they arrived as F! I guess this is down to the changes in energy ratings in 2021.

The bulb was a bit larger than I expected but looked nice. Unfortunately I will have to return them as they make a loud buzzing noise when I’m operation. When I tried a different led dimmable bulb there wasn’t any where near as much buzzing noise (barely noticeable).

These are great.I have been a fan of LED bulbs for a while, but have resisted changing one of the remaining sets as they were on a dimmer switch.Due to this lovely "lockdown" and extended working from home, the room these are in now us used MUCH more, so I took the plunge.And they just work. They are fantastic. As soon as I swapped the over, I was impressed at how much brighter than the halogen ones they replace. they even look nice when they are on.OK, so they are longer than a "golf ball"bulb, which they were replacing, but the bit that sticks out looks nice with the little "crown" in it.They actually dim properly too"So far so happy.

This bulb is different to the classic bulb, I’ve attached two pictures, the first two are bulbs looks slightly orange, and the other one are whitish or warm warm, the effect is really nice when it’s dimmed down, when is full on you can’t tell the difference, they are expensive and not sure if they are worth especially if you dozens to change but overall they are good, they feel very solid and well built

Very happy with purchase so far. Arrived quickly. Can not comment on energy efficiency or longevity just yet as only started to use them. As they are Philips bulbs my expectation is that they will be good in these areas too.

The light from these are a perfect replacement for the tungsten version. As you dim them to a lower output they get warmer (more orange) like tungsten. At lower power they are not an identical colour to tungsten but they are very good. They don't seem to get hot on the main surface. That star / flower inside acts as a mock tungsten filament and disperses the light very well. It's good. On full power they have out-shone the 40w tungsten that I replaced with a nice spectrum of warm white light.The only problem is that they buzz enough they could be annoying. I have them in the living room where it's lively with children so not usually a huge issue but I wouldn't be able to bare it in a bedroom or relaxing in a bath. Any commercial space would be fine.A non dimmable variety where permitted would be a no brainer.

Can't speak about longevity, these bulbs light has quite a traditional feel to it, looks like a tungsten one although it's an LED. Very pleased with it so far, only downside is that they seem to emit a noticeable buzzing noise which can be quite annoying if you stand close to the bulbs themselves
