Indoors and outdoors, be safe.
Safety first.Indoors, they're safer than socks or bare feet because the Vibram soles are grippy. In the photo you can see my floor is tiled, and I have throw rugs. Do you know how much your toes have to do with your sense of balance control, whether standing, walking, getting into or out of chairs and sofas?Outdoors (see my bike in the photo), they're safer than shoes. Again, balance control, but in addition, the Vibram soles work like little fenders or skid plates when my feet brush up against something that could hurt them. Pedaling a bike, sometimes a foot brushes the ground in a turn.I could go on about rain, puddles, mud, sand, grass, sidewalks, crosswalks, etc., but I think you get my message.

Something wrong
It’s not that easy to insert your foot into these shoes: aligning the toes so that they fall on the corresponding entrance may be easier for some, but it was not for me. I gave up after 5 minutes… the thought of having to spend time each time I put these shoes on, is just unacceptable to me… hence the 1 star

Great Lightweight Shoes!!!
These are great! I enjoy how light they are. Be careful on hot pavement.

Too Large
I really wish Vibram would figure out sizing, playing the guessing game every time is getting annoying.I typically where a 9, occasionally an 8.5, so I ordered these in 9. They are a bit too long even with socks on.Also as others have stated, the heal feels weird and kinda hooks backwards. This may be because they’re too large for me however.Otherwise they look quality.

Best minimalist footwear. Ugly though
I have had several pairs of Vibram five fingers and love them. They are the best minimalist/ barefoot footwear available but are ugly. Love them though

Fall Apart. Vibram Doesn't Stand Behind Their Products.
Got a pair of EVO Classics in September last year. I'm putting this review on the ECO, since it's the current model. Also, in my experience, eco-friendly soles are even less durrable than their less eco-frienldy counterparts.I wore them a bit last fall, and this summer pulled them out for the hot weather. All in all, I put about 3-4 months of use on them. Mostly, I use them around the house, running quick erands in town, or walking the neighborhood sidewalks. After that much use, there is a hole completely through one of the soles at the end of the second toe. I contacted Vibram, and they just replied that it's outside of the 90 day warranty. It's disappointing, because I've had good experiences with Vibrams in the past. These are the first ones I've picked up with the classic sole, though.
