Liked these books, although the TV adaptation has refined them into something better.Found this series a little tiring in a way, because all the characters die after a while, so you sometimes wonder what the point of following them is - at least on the TV series they occasionally have a few weeks of peace on a farm or starting a community in a prison.But my main complaint is that I did not think of the idea first - I started writing a zombie novel only to discover these graphic novels had got there first, rendering my idea redundant!

Meeting the governor is everything it was promised. Can’t wait to see what happens next! Plus the action at the prison...

I decided to read the comic books after being an avid fan of The Walking Dead tv series for years.Brilliant! The deviations from the TV series grow with each passing comic book (while keeping the general story the same). Volume 5 just piles those differences in. I found myself reading on and by the end, I am so intrigued as to where they go with certain characters/ predicaments. it does get pretty intense during the middle of the book which just adds to the brilliance!

Have enjoyed series so far but this one my favourite. Gets very messed up & plot makes some significant movement which was something the last issues kind of lacked focusing on conflicts between people of group/emotional turmoil from hard decisions. Which is a big part of what series about but as focused only in prison rather than moving about of first two issues were a bit slower. No spoilers from me, although the cliff hanger at the end is harsh. Gotta wait til get next issue myself, going to be a tough wait!

It’s Very different to the tv show more than I thought it would be, makes me want to keep reading as I don’t know what’s going to happen.Recommend to all Walking Dead fans.Abit of colour wouldn’t go a miss even if it was just the blood that was in colour it would make a difference.

Drama and action in this book was good, intense and shocking. Good introduction to new characters. Enjoying the series so far.

I bought this entire collection of graphic novels for my partner who has now read them all 3 times and thinks they are amazing. If you are a fan of zombies or graphic novels (or both) you will love The Walking Dead. It is also not exactly the same as the TV series therefore you will not find it boring or predictable.
