Wonderful speakers
I love the balance of the sound on this speaker. Unlike the previous versions, this one has bass power and just the right amount of treble and voice quality.

Good sound but bad information.
There was not enough information provided with the speaker. I spend a lot of time getting connected. An app is provided, but I still spent too much time figuring out how to use it properly.

Sound quality
I am not an audiophile, but I do value quality audio and I have a significant investment in home AV. I'm renovating a patio and looking for quality outdoor audio and it does not exist, IMO. I decided to buy this A9 to use on the patio and I could not be happier with the audio quality. I have other outdoor systems with multiple custom speakers and they do not fill the space with the same clarity and bass. It's almost too easy. I realize that the A9 cannot live outside, but for this level of fidelity I'm happy to move it back and forth as needed. I'm considering a second and a third, I'm that pleased with the performance. That said, it's pricey. at $3500 it's painful, but over the years I've spent much much more to try and achieve this level of musical enjoyment poolside and failed. I think I could buy one more and still consider it money well spent, TBD.

Great sound. Expensive. Dated interfaces
Software is much improved compared to older versions. Needs optical input. Sound quality is great.

Wow!
This is absolutely the best speaker I've ever owned, and probably will ever own. Easy to set up, blue-tooth operation. The sound is absolutely incredible. I was a bit concerned with it being one speaker that I wouldn't get true stereo sound, but that isn't the case at all. The B and O app actually has the speaker "scan" the room and adjusts the sound accordingly. I am hearing the little sounds in songs that you don't typically hear unless you're wearing high-end headphones. You would swear that you have 6 speakers spread throughout the room,...the speaker is across an almost 30' long room and I can hear sounds that come from behind me, in front of me, on both sides of me....I now know what "surround sound" should be, and to have it come from one source sitting in the corner of my room is astounding to me.It's fairly large at about 2' round, but flat enough that it isn't intrusive . It's obvious quality, from the weight to the aesthetic. The linen-look fabric covering is attrative and there are covers you can order (including art) to tie in with your room. I have the gray fabric one, and it's fine in my decor. It's not overly complicated to operate. Plug it in, download the app and operation was practically automatic as long as you know your wifi password. The only thing I could think of for improvement would be to have it receive my Amazon music. Perhaps it would connect if I paid for the music, but it will not broadcast. Spotify works great with it, however., and from my understanding, it will pair with Chromecast or Apple Music. Before getting this item I would have never spent this kind of money on audio equipment, but this may have turned me into a bit of an Audiophile. Simply excellent.

For certain situations this is the absolute best speaker setup
Multi speaker setup have huge hot spots and dead zones and only have one sweet spot in your room or house where the music sounds at it’s best. This solves for that. It has a huge sound and amazing clarity and it delivers it across the whole room and beyond. If you want to fill your house with music this is the way to do it. If you have one chair that you want to sit and listen to your music alone, and that’s your main use scenario get a pair of high end floor standing speakers. The clarity of this speaker even in the next room is crazy good and way better than any other option.

Amazing sound but terrible connectivity makes this speaker basically unusable
I have had B&O products for more than 20 years and updated to wireless 3 years ago... although the sound quality and design are still what you expect from B&O, they clearly have failed in their transition to streaming and wireless...The connectivity is extremely poor (even over optic fiber): it will disappear from your connections, stop playing or start skipping parts of songs and the useless assistant built in will start blasting messages for no reason.... the app is horrible, the setup very strange... you end up having to physically unplug and replug the speaker constantly... the entire software side of things feels like beta quality at best... Support is non existent and incapable of solving the issuesIt is sad to see such an iconic brand drifting slowly but surely into the past
