Would not compress
Suntour makes different springs for this unit but the one sold on Amazon must have been for someone very heavy. I weigh 185 and I backed the unit's spring as far back as possible. It would not compress at all. I returned the unit.

One of the best upgrades you can get for your bike
This is hands down one of the best investment I got for my bike. I have a very expensive electric road bike with no suspension and I ride like 15-20 miles a day and this has been a blessing to my bottom and overall ride. Comes in multiple sizes. Check with your bike manufacturer before you buy it to make sure it fits the seat post/stem. Great quality and utility. Extreme comfort ride with possibly adding an extra suspension seat. I opted for the cloud 9.
