These barrels are fantastic!! They are the same design as the large factory barrels, and as far as I can tell the same construction. Yes they leak a little when you first get them. Follow the directions n they’re great! I used warm water to rinse them then hot water to fill, till leaks stop. Only takes a couple days. Can’t wait to try my product!! Great job folks, much appreciated!!

I bought this barrel because i wanted to age some spirits. Price was right, so i gave it a shot, did not expect much. Got it, and wow, this thing is very very nice! Leaked for about 1 hour (they all leak at the start), then sealed right up. The craftsmanship is unreal! I was going to keep this in my garage, but it looks too nice, so it sits on a table in my house! I have not tried any spirits from it yet, but i presume they will be fine!

I have been barrel aging cocktails for about 5 years now. Primarily Manhattans and Old Fashioneds. I have used different barrels but mostly Red Head barrels. I have a 5L barrel going and three 2L barrels running at a time.I just decanted the 2L barrels and something strange happened. They were all started on 11/16/23 as Old Fashioneds using 2 bottles of the spirits.The first was made with Woodford Rye and Double strength Turbinado simple syrup and Fee Bros. Bitters.The Second was Knob Creek Single Barrel Select 120 proof Bourbon and Demerara Sugar and the same Bitters.The Third was supposed to be made with Knob Creek Rye but instead, it was 1 bottle of the Rye and 1 bottle of the SBS Bourbon and the Turbinado SS and Fee Bros bitters.When I decanted them yesterday 1/15/23, I got a full bottle of each plus about 2/3rds bottle due to the angels share. Except for the barrel containing the 2 bottles of the SBS 120* where I got almost 2 full bottles. I guess the angels didn't like that one or the barrel had somehow had been sealed up. Who knows?

My dad loves this! I got it for him as a gift. Customer service is amazing, unfortunately the spigot it came with was faulty but they were quick and helpful. 2 week aged Ancient Age tastes like Eagle Rare... Amazing!

I purchased four of these. One for myself and three for gifts. I put a $50 bottle of tequila in mine and have been letting it age for the past couple months. I finally decided to give it a taste test, and to my surprise the barrel was empty! I discovered that the wood had come apart and during the aging process all my contents leaked out. I then decided to ask the people I had gifted the barrel to, and they also told me theirs had leaked but did't say anything since it was a gift.The other leak place is in the wood spigot. I was concerned with the spigot when it arrived, so my intentions were to be very carful when pouring, but, that 'hot spot' was't an issue since the bottle was EMPTY.

I bought two barrels from another company, both leaked. I then bought two barrels from Redhead. It was clear when they arrived that their quality was fundamentally better. Neither barrel ever leaked and I am enjoying my barrel aged cocktails. I plan to by another barrel soon.

I bought this for my husband as Christmas gift. The idea is fun and he liked it. I followed direction to cure the barrel but it still leaked. The customer service is awesome and they sent me barrel wax right away and it fixed the leak. I’m not a whiskey drinker so I can’t tell you if it really enhanced the flavor. My husband though the flavor was just ok for our first try. I think this is a great gift idea though.

VERY WELL MADE

Just got it and filled it with water, it is leaking a tiny bit, but I am certain it will seal up, instructions say it needs to swell up to make the seal tight. If not the company will send out barrel sealer. And I have not yet viewed the instruction videos.Beautiful little barrel.

他の方々は漏れまくると書かれてますが、私のやつは全く一滴も漏れてません。たぶんですが、素手で押し込んだだけでは漏れちゃいます。私が採った方法ですが、まず力いっぱい手で蛇口を押し込み、その後蛇口が壊れない程度の力で１０回前後プラハンで叩き込みました。最初は心配で小鉢を蛇口下にあてがい、かつちょくちょく確認してましたが、1Wたった今でも一滴も漏れてません。さすがに金槌では壊れちゃいそうなので、プラハンorゴムハンで叩くのが良いと思います。まだ1Wで味の変化が認められなかったため★４つとさせてもらいましたが、基本的には不満なしです。カッケーですよ。安いブレンデッドのスコッチで満タンにして約4W追熟させてみました。結果...劇的に味変しました。より甘くなりコクが深まった感じです。美味い不味いは人それぞれだと思いますが、私は味に深みが出て良いのではないかと思いました。少なくとも待っている間「どんなんなるんかな？」というわくわくだけでも価値があるのかな？と。今はそのスコッチは瓶詰めして、空いたスペースに赤ワインを詰めて様子を見ているところです。楽しいので★５つに昇格です！

この値段に見合う商品とはとても思えない物がきましたねぇー非常に作りが悪くがっかりしました、蛇口の部分もひどく作りが雑であまりお勧めしません。外人のレビューはそれなりに良いですが、日本人はまず納得できない一品です。5日たっても微妙に水漏れします、なおるのかな？追加レビューです僕が買った時は１６０００円でした、現在は１００００円に値下げされているようですね水漏れの経過ですが、いつまでも漏るので諦めて安いウイスキーを入れてみました。ウイスキーを入れて約一月たちますが未だに漏ります（微妙なんですが漏ります）ただし水の時よりは漏りが弱くなりましたが。（樽の中の炭化した物が外に染み出てくる感じです漏れている部分が黒くなってきます）始めて購入しましたが、、こう言う物なんでしょうか？（いつまでも洩れがとまらないので廃棄しました）実際の味ですが、これは驚きですスーパーで売ってる４Lで３０００円ぐらいの超安いウイスキーを入れてみましたが２週間ぐらいでものすごい変化が起きますまるで別物になります、信じられないぐらい美味くなります、ほんとに驚きです。最初に入れはのはスコッチ系のウイスキーなので確かハイニッカかな？バーボン好きの僕は次に業務用の安いジンビームを購入して寝かせてます、飲むのが楽しみです漏れは仕方ないので樽のしたにテッシュを置いて対処してます。この手の樽で漏れずに１万以内で購入できればとても良い商品だと思います、ここまで酒が変化するとはおもいませんでした焼酎も試してみたい所ですが。。。。。。他にも２万の同じような物を買い（ほぼ詐欺ですよね）（中にビニールがしこんであるもの）もうへそくりがありませんのでまた頑張って焼酎用の物を買います。＊＊＊＊お知らせ＊＊＊＊＊＊天使のミニ樽って商品を発見しました、値段も１万以下です（２L）アマゾンにはまだ無いようです、しかも日本の企業です頑張って買ってみました。全く漏れません、やはりちゃんとした商品は漏れないみたいですね。

ワインを投入するもバルブからダダ漏れで使い物になりません。買わない方が良かったので絶対にお勧めできない商品でした。
