i was surprised to see that there was not a review for this thing yet. so i will be the first.I had alot of decision making to do when picking out a new pickup set for my guitar thats been serving me well with the Stock pickups. I needed something more punchy and have some more definition within the distorted amp, this pickup so far is amazing, its has a dark and thumpy tone. the output is moderate and helps take advantage alot of distortion. I am a pretty intense shredder when it comes to my playing and i liked the new Full shred pickup, but wanted alittle extra clarity with the notes when i speed pick and for it to not sound like rake scraping metal!. alot of punch and just enough output to not go overboard or over distorted, it really does cut through mixes so it will make you want to crank your distortion or gain up a few notches to really push what you can get out of the pupu as well as your amp!. i been playing for about 4 hours now and i am prettyhappy with it. this pickup give a few options for phasing and coil tapping or whatever it is called to allow that single coil strat sound. Thrash and prog metallers out there, this is one that is worth the money!

Great to have been able to get these through Amazon - my favorite place to shop. They were exactly what we needed to upgrade my son's guitar.
