These are a must to get that clean look. I used a dab of caulk around it to have it stay in place

Worked good for my application but required extra work as I used it with 1/8" cable.

I'm building a rather large deck expansion at our cabin and want to continue to use the cable railing already there. This 80 pack is just right for my needs . I like that the package comes with a bit as well, but my guess, from experience, is that the bit won't last long. It's fine though, that's not why I got the set in the first place. I guess we will have to see how time affects these. It says stainless steel...and it looks like stainless steel, but only time in the elements will tell the tale of their longevity.

These inserts worked perfectly for the railing. The included drill bit is correctly sized for the sleeve to fit tightly into the hole.Other items that may be needed include a longer bit to drill all the way through the post and caulk to seal the surface between the sleeve and the post.These sleeves guide the cable at 90 degrees ideal for horizontal stringing. For sloped applications (e.g.,stairway) it is necessary to countersink the guide hole at the correct angle for best results.Overall perfect sleeves for cable rails.

I got these to use with stainless steel cable on a boat renovation project we are working on. The sleeves appear to be good quality and come with a drill bit. Everything is machined well and they look really great. The simplistic design is perfect for what we are doing which is using strands of cable in rows horizontally under a railing. The stainless steel should not rust which is perfect for a boat.
