Disappointed really.
Edited after purchasing a year ago (in 2011) to say there had always been a tilt to the chair sideways and an awkwardness when wheeling it but in the last couple of days one of the castors broke and you can see from the break that it hadn't been right prior to this break. After reading how comfortable it was in other reviews I purchased this chair. I have just put it together and sat on it and found it quite hard. It comes up to my shoulders at the back so nothing to rest my head back on like the one I had.I think it looks bigger than it is in the photo.Putting it together wasn't at all easy. One of the holes underneath hadn't been provided and I had to screw in through the material. Fitting the back to the base took me an age as the holes didn't line up which didn't have anything to do with me making a hole in another section.I ended up resting the base on another chair with the back facing down and pushing hard against the wall with the down turned back part in order to get at least one screw in to hold the thing in place for me to work with the others. The arms are a bit on the high side and it causes me to almost shrug my shoulders if I use the armrests. It looked so good in the picture and I can't face taking it all apart so I guess I'm stuck with it unless I try one I like better in a shop somewhere. I doubt I'd risk building one I hadn't tested again. Can anyone tell me how to put the rocker on ? I didn't even know there was one as there were no instructions on how to make any adjustments to the chair. It does roll very smoothly is about the most positive thing I can say about it.

Stunning Chair
I purchased this chair because I spend a lot of time at my computer and was starting to get back and shoulder pain as a result.Firstly, the chair looks amazing! The cream and chrome works well together and is much less "officy" than most of the desk chairs out there. Secondly, it is very comfortable. It has a nice high back and good ergonomic back support. The arms are curved down so they don't catch on the desk and prevent you getting close enough to be comfortable. The seat is firm but well padded so it feels as if it's fitted to your body while not allowing your posture to slip.As far as putting the chair together was concerned I found it very quick and simple. The instructions are as easy to follow as any you would get with Ikea furniture and all the pieces seemed to slide together naturally and easily. You may want a little help positioning the chair on the base (someone to watch underneath and sat "left a bit, right a bit, down" would be handy) as the chair itself is heavy and it's difficult to see the alignment while holding the chair up but it's perfectly possible to put it together without help. This chair is very good value for money and I am absolutely happy with it however in the spirit of giving a balanced review I can spot the following couple of grumbles if I nitpick. Firstly, the packaging is good but with all the heavy metal components it's not surprising that one or two moved in transit and caused some almost invisible marks on the chrome. Secondly, The paddle that lifts and lowers the chair is very loose and when you roll the chair around it makes a "ticking" noise. This isn't a problem for me as I don't roll my chair around much but I can see it being annoying for anyone who rolls their chair from one side of the room to the other. Finally, the casters on the feet look very cheap and cheerful compared to the rest of the chair however while I was initially disappointed with this, it did occur to me that should one of these casters break they would be very easy to replace as any DIY store will stock identical ones. So, not pretty but very convenient and lets face it, how often are you likely to inspect the wheels? So to summarize, this is a very pretty, comfortable and stable chair, which in my opinion is well worth the money and while it may not be completely faultless it would take a pickier person than I to not be happy with it.

Great Customer Service from the "Chair Outlet"
I bought this from the "Chair Outlet"I ordered it in the week before Christmas and it arrived on Christmas eve, on unpacking I found the wheels were missing and I thought it would take at a couple of weeks to sort out what with Christmas the next day and the New Year soon after.I emailed them that evening not expecting a reply for at least three days. I was very surprised to get a reply about 10pm that night promising a replacement as soon as possible. I didn't expect to hear anything else for at least a week or more. But then the day after Boxing Day I received a new set of wheels in the post. Excellent customer service. This is a really nice chair. It was very easy to put together, the instructions were very comprehensive and easy to understand. I put it together in about 20 minutes, the seat was a little tricky but only because it is a very secure and rigid fit.The back support and shape makes it a very comfortable chair to sit in, it is easy to raise and lower and the tilt mechanism makes it adjustable to suit anyone. To sum up, a great chair, a reasonable price, but above all a seller I can thoroughly recommend.Their attention to customer service means I would definitely do business with them again.

Very Comfortable
I had this chair delivered to my Dads place and he couldn't resist, he put it together for me and delivered it to my house. He is the MOST critical about anything 'built' and he didn't have a thing to say about it - so I assume assembly was a breeze. From the picture I had expected the back of the chair to be a little 'taller' - as it is the padded neck rest rests my neck so it does what its supposed to do.This chair is very padded - it's lovely, the arms are even slightly padded. Without the rocker on I feel sort of 'perched' however I adjusted this and the seat feels fabulous. There is no noise in the slightest from the rocker or the gas tube as mentioned in other reviews, very smooth movements and casters.Overall it feels very solid and able to handle me (I am....'larger')Love it, well worth the money (well so far, I've been in it for about an hour and I had my last one for eight years....so :)Great buy overall.
