Coco Chanel (Little People, BIG DREAMS)

She was a NAZI spy agent - where is this information in the book?
I bought this book a few years back for my daughter and I am just now finding out that she was a NAZI agent. Why was this book even written? Or better yet, why is that part of her life excluded from the book? Publisher should stop selling this book or make a re-write telling the dark reality of her past. Horrible. It will be burned.

So beautifully made!
I got this last minute as I came across it late one night. I added it to my daughters book filled Easter basket and it was the prefect touch! We love the dark illustrations and story line, I’ve watched cox Chanel’s movie and documentaries so I loved that I could follow along and show my 1 year old this history early on! Can’t wait to own the whole book collection!

Everyone loves Coco ;)
We came across the series of Little People, Big Dreams books and mommy of course NEEDED to get our daughter the Coco one. Although the story does tell some background information about THE Coco Chanel, it gives it in such a small summary that you want more! But then you immediately remember that this is for a small child, haha. So, this makes a great bed time story with its lovable drawings and its simple facts storyline. We HIGHLY recommend all the books in the LP, BD series.

Great book to highlight importance of Coco
Received this book on time and in great condition. The book really showcases how fabulous and different Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel was in her time and how her beauty transcends generations. Very easy to understand for babies and great high contrast with the images.

One of my favorites in the collection
This entire series of books are wonderful. Each book is a short biography of a significant artist, scientist, aviator, etc. I particularly like this one because it's about fashion and shows how a woman who was an orphan became one of the most successful fashion influencers in history.

True Story of Rags to Riches!
Great story! Coco Chanel grew up in an orphanage, but she didn’t let that stop her. Her vision, determination, and hard work paid off. This story should encourage children that they too can fulfill their dreams!

Elegant and fun!
Great start to a fantastic book collection for my granddaughter. Very nicely done inside and out. I’ll definitely keep adding to her set!

Stunning book!
This range of books is pure enjoyment. Beautifully written and illustrated. It’s a pleasure to watch my children’s faces whilst they learn about people who have been so influential in our world. My daughter knows how much I love Chanel No 5 (smells so good!) and NOW she understands who created the scent and why she is so important in the history of fashion and women in business.

Being different is not a superpower
But this books acts like 'being different' makes you amazing. Different from what? It's a pretty boring story. She is 'different' a lot, makes some dresses, makes a hat, and that's about it. And who are these books for? Too adult and dull for kids, too simplistic for anyone other than infantile grown ups who prefer pictures to words. All seems a bit like forcing a PC agenda down kids necks than actually entertaining them.

Lovely quality, beautiful illustrations, great stories.
Wow! Such lovely books. I didn't expect them to be such goood quality hard backs. The illustrations inside are wonderful and captivating. The writing in each page is short and to the point so great for little ears and young readers. Plus I've learnt from them too. Will be buying more of this series.

Beautiful Book
The Coco Chanel was the first book in the series that I bought for my daughter. As with all of these books the illustrations are beautiful and there is enough information to tell a story but not too much that you lose the interest of young children. I love them all!
