kSafe your self-destructive behaviours...
This kitchen safe is a well designed product. Simple to use; you just bunk the thing you want to limit access to in and put the lid on. Turn the big dial on the top to set the time from anything between one minute and ten days. Then you press the big dial and then you get a 5 second countdown in which you can change your mind by pressing the big dial again. If you don't stop the 5second countdown then the locks will whirr out into their sockets, locking the contents for the time length you set. If at any time you want to increase the time duration then you can do so by pressing the dial again. You can't reduce the time. Nice little LCD screen showing the time left, and you can watch the countdown by the second. Once the time has elapsed, the lock will whirr back in again and you can get you cigarettes, booze, chocolate etc. Only way to cheat the device is to break it. It has fairly thick plastic, but maybe too easy to break for anyone who has a strong need for the contents.I find it helps limit my access to Nicorette's Quickmist, which I use too much of out of boredom, and limit my access in another ksafe for junk food. You can also use it to lock away keys, maybe keys to a cupboard of food, drink etc...or car keys, if you like.If the battery dies while the safe is locked, the time lapse will stay in the memory, and you can replace the battery, and the countdown will start again. It can pay for itself, simply by limiting your access to expensive stuff, and maybe improve you health. You can also put mobile phone devices in it, for example over night so you won't be tempted to check your phone, and enable you to get some sleep...well there are lots of possibilities.

A brilliant gadget when used sensibly.
This gadget is brilliant and I would give it ten stars if I could. We use it to help us control our alcohol consumption. We put our bottles in a locked box and put the key to the box in the Kitchen Safe. We set the safe to open first thing in the morning (when we have no interest in drinking alcohol!), decide how much, if any, we want to get out for the evening, and then put the keys back in the safe until the next morning. We thought it was a bit expensive just for a box to lock our key away in but it has already paid for itself as we now drink less alcohol. It is well made and nice to handle. The timer works well. When setting it, you can turn the dial backwards as well as forwards which is useful. We don't normally keep unhealthy food in the house so that we can't eat it and we experimented with buying and locking away some chocolate but that didn't work. Our normal strategy of not buying it in the first place means that we almost never eat it, but locking it away meant that we started to eat a bit every day so we quickly reverted to not buying it.I would definitely recommend the Kitchen Safe.

Very helpful
This has worked really well for me. I understand there may be workarounds to getting in to it but I've avoided them. I've used the medium to store my game controller as I was playing it excessively. It's very easy to use. You just need about 10 seconds of willpower. To be honest it's a relief not being able to do something sometimes

Strong Box for Securing Items
The Kitchen Safe Timing Lock Container is a great way to lock up items for a set period of time. This can be used to lock away food, but also other items such as TV Remotes, Phones, Xbox Controllers etc.The box is large and well built, once locked there is no way to open it without breaking the box or waiting for the timer to go to zero. The box is expensive for what it is, although in some ways this is good as you won't want to just break open the box damaging it.

Handy device to keep temptation in check
This is a very handy little device, whereby you can put your cookies, tobacco or time-wasting electronic toys etc out of the way for a set time. This can easily be dialed in and once set can be extended, but never reduced - and taking the batteries out won't help either. There is a clear LCD display to keep you informed of the countdown to when the safe reopens! The quality of manufacture is good and the safe appears to be reliable. If you get really desperate for what's inside the safe, the clear plastic base can be broken with a suitable hammer and replacements are available! The verdict: highly recommended.

Overpriced and faulty!
Firstly this is massively overpriced! It worked for all of a few minutes, then the screen faded and it stopped working, remaining half locked. I tried to reset it as per the instructions but nothing. The pins on the locking lid only have two that slide out - seems like there should be four (one on each side), and there are four holes on the plastic base but only two pins on the lid.Seems sturdy, but arrived faulty. You can get similar items for half the price. Will try one of those.

Love!
Love this invention! It's massively helped me stop binge eating chocolate! I now fill it with chocolates and take out a few, lock it straight away and then set it to unlock the next day meaning I can now look forward to something sweet each day without making myself feel sick! Plus at Christmas, Easter or birthdays I will be able to stuff it with chocolate and really enjoy eating it gradually rather than laying around in a sugar induced coma feeling rubbish. It seems fairly on the expensive side but it's worth it as its very well made and the electronics are impressive..easy to use and faultless. Some reviews say it's a bit smaller than hoped but I disagree- it fits well in the cupboard and a whole box of chocolates fills up only about a fifth of its capacity.

POINTLESS. Easy to open.
Great box, however is made completely pointless by the fact YOU CAN OPEN IT. Isnt the whole point to not be able to get to what you put in it?
