Work Shoes
Steel toed shoes for my husband's work. His review. Comfortable, lightweight, one of the best shoes he has found to walk on concrete with. Definitely recommend.

Same great boot, same terrible laces
I love this boot. It’s the third pair that I’ve purchased. I wear them every single day, even though my job doesn’t require steel-toed boots. They don’t feel like safety boots. However, the laces are still too short, too thin, and made of a nylon material that eventually cuts through the leather eyelets - long before the boots wear out. For my wide-sized foot (10W), the 51” laces need to be another 4” longer. Buyers with normal width feet might not have this problem. In order to put the boots on and off, I have to loosen them to the extent they have to be pulled out of the top eyelets. The laces should be round, softer, twice as thick, and 4” longer. With this last purchase, I bought the proper laces from another source to get the most life out of these otherwise GREAT boots.

A little too small
I ordered my regular size 10.5 and had a very difficult time getting these on. They are snug but feel pretty good once on my feet. I'm sure they will soften up. They are nice looking. I joke about the steel toe, I work as a writer in front of a computer all day. Not exactly hazardous. Now I got me some working man shoes.

Good-ish, not for an actual Pro.
I assume anyone shopping for work boots like this is doing the requisite research, I certainly did mine. I had very high hopes for this boot, lots of excellent reviews, met most of my spec demands, etc. These boots were purchased at the start of the wine grape harvest here in the Napa Valley, and now three months later I need to replace them. 12-15 hour days, six days a week for 10-12 weeks is simply too much for these boots. Being called "Mudslinger" I had hoped they would be capable of be constantly wet and covered in muck. After a few hours of exposure to water my toes were moist, and by the 8-10th hour my feet were itchy and damp. Not waterproof. Capable of being wettish maybe. The lack of actual waterproofness is most disappointing as the constant exposure to water is our biggest enemy in the winery. Now I understand the boot is not rated to be exposed to corrosive material and as such I chose a boot that was mostly synthetic and had a large toecap of rubberish stuff. The boot handled Peroxy Carb, Paracetic Acid, Citric/Tartaric acids, Caustic soda, alcohol, acetone, chlorine and salt rather well. The leather began to crack and deteriorate after about 7-8 weeks, but this was mainly due to the boot being wet and then dry and then wet again constantly. I like the lack of rivet eyelets. I like the neoprene liner. I like the grippy sole and rigidity, although being on my feet for a constant 12 hours has really worn the rubber down. I like the electrical protection. I like the spot mid sole that is deep for standing on ladders/bars/poles/branches whatever. The steel toe was excellent. I bought a 14 wide and still the toe box wasnt wide enough. I dealt with it. I have dealt with poor fitting shoes my whole life, why start now. I like the look of the boot and its lightness. I would not purchase these or any other Timberland Pro boot for work. They lack the toughness and genuine waterproofing a true "pro" needs. But for a scant over $100, barely surviving a harvest isnt terrible. Purchase if you don't actually get your feet really wet.
