Very happy with this Burger Press! It is solidly built and has a great balance. Rolled up ground beef into 4 oz balls, put them on the oiled griddle surface, put a piece of parchment paper on top (those pre-cut 6x6 ones) and smashed the burger very thin, leaving pressure on them for 10 seconds, then pulling up. There was no sticking at all, and the burgers smashed very evenly and perfectly round. First time ever making smash burgers and it went very well, thanks to this tool!

I've been trying to make smash burgers with a spatula for a few years now and they never get flat enough even with extra weight! This changed that completely. Now I only do smash burgers when I'm cooking inside. Get a square of wax paper and push em down! This thing works exactly as I had hoped. It's all contained so no worries about cleaning inside the handle. Or weighs just enough to help flattening the burgers and the handle is plenty large to give you leverage.I know it's blasphemy, but I recommend rolling out the meatballs and seasoning the top first, or even rolling them around in seasoning, then throw them top-down in your pan. After that, press them nice and skinny and if you'd like, add a bit more seasoning.

This one works well. The steel is thick enough that there is no flex, no sharp edges, clean welds, and a nice brushed finish. I had the Blackstone press, and with it’s lip, it’s not able to get a good thin press in the burger . I much prefer this one.I use 4oz per patty, and wouldn’t go more than that, if you can find them cheap, the squares of parchment paper are very handy, otherwise cut out a piece from a roll, I don’t recommend using the press without parchment between the press and the meat

So far, so good. Does the trick. Light weight, but easy to use and clean. Was a win for a father's day gift!
