Over the years, I've tried any number of electric trimmers to mow the lawn growing on my back. At best, they were "meh," with many failing all together to work adequately. On a lark, I tried the BaKblade because of the good reviews and the wide head, which I reasoned would require fewer strokes with more coverage. So glad I tried it. Despite the terror of using a near-naked razor blade on my back, it worked without a single scratch or cut, and my middle-aged back is far from smooth. Very fast and the long handle and wide blade made short work of my entire thatch. A completely counter-intuitive pro tip: stroke back and forth like you're mopping the floor or vacuuming. Logically, this seems like you're asking for nicks and cuts, but it doesn't cut anything, and more easily and quickly removes hair by changing the cutting angle and direction. The fact that BaKblade is also easily the cheapest solution is a bonus.

This is a very straightforward product if you go slow and get the hang of it it works perfectly well. All of the models of electric versions of the same product have a lot of negative reviews so I did not want to take the chance on spending that much money. This is a suitable way to get the job done.

This works great, leaves my back so smooth! I always use it before jumping in the shower!!!

It worked well at first. But when I tried to install a replacement blade, I have never been able to install one that came with it, and the whole thing is just taking up closet space. For three years, I've occasionally to install one of the replacement blades but have never been able to. Wasted money for me on this purchase.
