Oooooh they feel sooooo good :) Best merino socks on the planet.
I used these for years then tried Yuedge (made for tiny feet) and Danish Endurance (not much merino in them really) to save a few pounds, but it was a false economy. Once I got another pair of Smartwool, I could see there was no comparison and my feet are kept at a nice temperature year round, no smells or noticeable sweat and just so very very comfortable. I you are buying Merino socks, always check the actual content of merino wool, as many have only 50% or less and the rest is synthetic garbage. I bought the Smartwool heavy hiking socks and also these Smartwool Indestructawool versions for work in steel toe boots and they rock. Yes, very expensive, so I bought two pairs every payday this year and binned all my other socks at the end. Your feet are worth it. (Yuedge LMAO at those plasticky socks...you know they pay ppl for good reviews right!)

Love these socks!
They last great and are really comfortable. Little bit pricey but still a real step up from more basic, generic socks. Love them!

Army approved
Being in boots a lot I pretty much wear these every day. Since I first got a pair a couple of years back I’ve sworn by them and have only had the odd blister since (only after using a pair for over a year of constant use and wearing the cushioning down.) I thoroughly recommend these socks for anyone looking to do any hiking or just generally wearing boots day to day.

Good quality but not warm
Expensive sock so had high hopes. We're recommended. Decent quality and breathable but no where near as good as my darn tough socks for keeping my feet warm in winter. So only use during warmer months

better than bridgdale
i'm really liking how technical these socks are and will defo be buying more soon, i'm converted from bridgdale which was my go to, but having this 1st pair, i'm now going to go smart wool socks all the way, much better made and keep looking as they have discounts from time to time so keep looking on here for when they cheaper, i have'nt found my feet getting hot in these once in hot weather, they breath lovely

A great sock for hiking
I’ve been looking for a pair of socks for hiking, in particular Dartmoor and Snowdonia during winter. After reading a few reviews I opted for these Smartwool PHD, and they have not disappointed yet. I suffered with blisters on the heel during my last yomp over Snowdon, so wanted a pair of socks that had cushioning and breathability. These are a very comfortable sock and would recommend.

Warm, well cushioned but disappointing quality
The good - these are very warm and comfortable winter hiking socks. Cushioning and support is great and the merino wool means your feet don't sweat too much or overheat. However, after one wash (inside out at 30 degrees), loose threads started pulling from the socks and they've deteriorated after each subsequent wash.Good socks let down by poor quality. Not what I expected from this brand and I would not recommend.I've changed to Darn Tough socks. Just as comfortable, and they're indestructible. Can't go wrong.

Smartwool make best walking socks
A well fitting sock is essential when out hiking, and Smartwool make some of the best socks for this purpose.Socks come in a wide range of sizes, so you should able to achieve a close fit to your size.Materials used offer good protection and cushioning, wick away moisture and are not too warm.
