Hooked
This is my intro in the crossbow world, had this baby sighted in after 2 shots @ 25yds, and took it out into the field, it was a success. I am impressed with the Barnett Hyper Raptor 410, just need to find more arrows, especially the .204 lighted nock and lumenok deactivater. This an awesome entry into crossbow and I’d recommend Barnett to others late to come around to crossbows.

Something inside trigger mechanism is rattling around.
Something inside the trigger mechanism is rattling but it seems to be staying in one spot instead of rolling around. So I don't know if it's supposed to be that way or not. Everything functions correctly and it shoots good but I did notice that the safety doesn't engage all the way when you cock it but it won't fire unless you put it on fire. So the safety does work. I've never heard anyone mention this about theirs. Maybe it's supposed to be that way.

So far so good.
Well… simple to assemble….The bow is compact and wicked fast…. Out of the box it was 1.5 to right of center and dead on up/down. About 10 clicks and it was shooting quarters at 50 yards. It’s a tack driver. The complaints about the rope cock I can see. The one complaint I have is the rope cock will get bound up a little between the bow and the string… not huge but enough you have to push with your thumbs… it’s more than what I like to do when the crossbow is loaded. Otherwise, seems like great build for the price. I’ll update if it breaks like others have, but I’m sure they weren’t loading incorrectly.

Updated Review, stay away
Updated review, loved at first but after 25-30 shots, cables broke down just like the others. Absolutely garbage, couldn't keep an accurate consistent shot at all. Can't get ahold of Barnett for a return for warranty whatsoever. Ended up switching brands all together and use Tenpoint now, seems much better. I couldn't even sell this thing for half the price, nobody wants it now with the reputation it has. I loved my old TS380 tho. Wish I still had it!

very compact shoots well
Compact enough to put inside my backpack when hiking Excellent for maneuvering through brushy areas or in a tight fitting stand, kudos to Barnett for their improved site mount

Subpar for 600$
I’ve shot a handful of different brands and I’ve always liked barnett. I received the bow yesterday and was able to shoot about 12 arrows through it to get it sighted in. The scope came mounted and was mounted crooked so had to re-adjust and sight in a RTH (ready-to-hunt) package. No big deal. I did lubricate the strings and cables before shooting and about every 3 shots. I did notice the cocking rope mechanism is easy but rubs on the cables pretty hard when taking off and is already starting to fray after only 12 shots. Only time will tell but I stopped shooting it due to needing it in a few weeks and not wanting the strings to blow up like prior reviewers have stated. There is definitely space for improvement but overall the bow seems okay just some major flaws that could lead to failure. I will update review after the first season with it. I would probably opt for a different bow if purchasing again. The looks and features seem nice but I’ve had better quality for cheaper.

Amazing!
Absolutely LOVE this bow! Easy to sight in. Quick bow, can't even see the arrows fly. Just got a 9 point with it. I highly recommend!

Great for all levels, however..........
First of all this thing is awesome. I've never had one I've been more proud of. Barnett makes an amazing product in almost every way.But there is a serious problem with this. The shuttle to pull back the string is weak and made very cheap.Mine broke on day two. I probably got no more then 20 draws on this before it snapped.Even worse, I still can't find a replacement for it. I bought one that said it was the replacement and it definitely was not. I will be leaving a two star review for that item alone.
