FT Shiseido Facial Razor
Now where do l start.? I will explain firstly that l have had many years experience of being a fully qualified Esthetician. So a word of what l hope will be sound advice. These razors do a great job of removing soft down (vellus) hair. I have been viewing certain blogs on utube. People claiming to be qualified. I don't dispute that but l feel that l must point out a couple of concerns. Health and safety should be paramount with any treatment on the skin. One young girl advices wiping the blade with a tissue after use. NO!! when a blade is used then they MUST be disenfected before and after use. There are billions of bacteria on razors. Especially after use. The razors have wavy lines to avoid cutting but nevertheless they can cut. Men always dip their wet blades in boiling water first or rinse well before and after use. Not tissue off the debri. BAD ADVICE! These razors exfoliate the skin as they are used that's why the skin looks radiant afterwards. Some bloggers recommend using the razors upwards first but l don't agree as any hair removal going against the growth with a razor can encourage ingrowing hair. Also remove any thick (terminal) hair preferably with tweezers first or they will look like blackheads within days. Never shave against these. If you have too many then use a different hair removal method. Always stroke downwards holding the razor at maximum fourty five degrees. If you are using just for hair removal wet the skin first with a cleaner whether water based or milky based. Or if you are using the razor for exfoliation. Use water to dampen the skin. Support the skin above whilst using downward strokes. Rinse under running water as you go along. When all the hair is removed use your favourite moisturiser with an SPFas the skin will be vulnerable. I noticed one reviewer said she had little bumps all over her skin, that is a reaction of being too aggressive or of a product sensitivity. Better to change your method and use the razor with more care. Rinse well DISENFECTED air dry and pack away. I hope this helps.

Use with caution but they are brilliant!
The only thing I could possible think of that would improve these for dermaplaning is having a rounded edge, but these are for eyebrow shaping primarily.I have 0 experience of doing either of those but somehow managed to get a fantastic shape on my first go. I can never be bothered to sort out my eyebrows but using these for 5 minutes has made such a great aesthetic difference I might keep it up.I also hadn’t a clue what I was doing dermaplanjng wise. Yes I did cut my face in a few sensitive spots but the razor is so sharp the cuts are clean and will heal really quickly.Actually the area I went too enthusiastically on because of many layers of dark, thick dry skin healed back better than it was before, cuts and and all . Once you actually get the hang of what angle to hold the razor at and where to hold the skin taught, it gets much easier. The razor is sharp enough to remove a satisfying amount of dead skin but the clever guard helps you not slice off too much epidermis!Go slowly and carefully. I know you’re only meant to do this once a month but ended up going over a few spots again over the course of a week once I go a feel for the technique and realised some areas of my face had more dead skin buildup, so could take another session. It really is satisfying to see all the crap come off. I have SENSITIVE skin. Clean and Clear and Simple burn like hell. Even the most natural, simple cleansers marketed as soothing can make me break out like hell or seem to dry out the top layer of skin but do nothing for all the sebum buildup underneath. Doing this has made my skin smoother and brighter, I feel like the skincare products I can use are penetrating deeper without just irritating the top layer because of incessantly re applying or running the skin. Sebum plugs that were stuck in my skin for years are coming out easily without causing more trauma to the skin by squeezing/scratching with fingernails or comedown extractors. I am honestly surprised as I have had so many issues with clogged pores, paradoxical oiliness and dryness and exfoliating scrubs leaving my skin raw, even causing scarring and hyper pigmentation. Somehow taking a literal blade to my face has proved far better than a scrub!Honestly, if your skin sounds anything like mine or you just want a blank canvas for smoothly applying makeup or your skincare products, resurfacing with a razor really is a great idea. Get rid of all that old crusty dry skin on top so you can deal with excess sebum (or maybe you won’t have to if it actually manages to get out of your pores to do its job instead of getting clogged up).Really am pleasantly surprised after years of cystic acne and congestion. These razors were worth the wait and I’ll be ordering more. I don’t need anything other than these and some micelles water with cotton pads and my skin feels renewed.

A lifesaver for banishing the lady 'stache!
I've had very noticeable dark hair on my upper lip since I was a teenager & EVERY single hair removal technique resulted in either a red, inflamed upper lip, horrible pustular breakouts, hairs being missed, or all three! Waxing, threading, hair removal cream - I've tried everything except electrolysis & nothing has worked without side effects, not to mention time & money wasted along with my self esteem reducing to the size of a dustmite when it looked like World War 3 had transpired on my face. THIS little blade o' beauty, however, IS AMAZING. I was done in about 17 seconds - WITH my toddler on my hip - and I had a baby-smooth, COMPLETELY hair free lip with absolutely NO redness & zero pain. Regrow has NOT been accelerated & for my purposes the blade has stayed sharp for multiple uses. I feel like life has just handed me a sackful of gold bullion (or at least a hair free lip - same thing?!). Hopefully this review will help another fellow stache-sufferer out there too!

Effective and Well Made
I have a home laser hair removal device and the hair needs to be shaved (not plucked or epilated) before use. To prepare to laser my upper lip (my "lady 'tache"), I needed a blade that could be controlled carefully as I removed the fuzz. These have been ideal. They're well made, the blades are sharp, and they gently remove fuzz without any nasty effect on the skin. I only use them on my upper lip and clean carefully after use. Each blade has lasted me for dozens of uses before becoming blunt. Each one also has a blade cover so they can be stored safely.
