I used it to read extremely small text.

I bought this item for a visually elderly relative. I was excited to get something that would help restore his love of bible reading. This item arrived with scratches all over it. It’s useless to him as he is already sight impaired. He tried to remove the scratches but could not. It’s probably a waste of money and time to even return it. More effort than it’s worth since someone would have to give him a ride to return. I was extremely disappointed with the product and careless disregard of the type of person who needs this. If you want to get angry, buy it. Wish there was a rating for “useless trash”😡 Never heard from the company with an apology either for them having to nerve to sell an item so useless and worthless.

I purchased for my husband who has macular degeneration. Clearly his eye sight is poor and he needs a good strong magnifying glass. This is actually acrylic, not glass. The acrylic magnifier doesn't provide a crisp, clear image. I will continue to search for a large-size glass magnifier. It appears the glass ones are the small circular ones with a handle. This is somewhat helpful but I will continue my search for a larger glass magnifier.

I really liked the quality and wish I kept it. I got it for small print novels but decided I didn’t want to hold or deal with placing on the book. So if the print is too small that’s not a book for me. It’s really the older books where the print size is ridiculous. Now wish I kept it for other uses. Overall it’s a great product

I was surprised how well this works. As I get older the fine print gets harder to read. This magnifier really helps me reading the small fine print. When reading a book my eyes get tired after a while, so I use it to help continuing reading for a bit longer. This magnifier is lightweight and easy to store. Comes with a cleaning cloth and I use the sleeve it came in for storage.

This was bought to magnify a standard size paper. It did not magnify when placed directly on the sheet. It had to be held at an adjusted distance from the sheet for any magnification. Just too awkward to use and not what was needed. It was returned.

I needed something to help me read smaller print like my bills, medicine bottles, and menus. I have had reading glasses but I tend to break them and lose them often. This is really nice it's lite weight and easy to hold in my hand. It's about the size of small Ipad, so it fits in my wife's purse when we go out to eat. It also comes with a small cleaning cloth just in case you get it dirty. For the price you can't beat it.

The description on this item is seriously screwed up. You can see it in the categories above. Apparently some botch attempt to apply AI has resulted in the erroneous assumption that light weight means that there is a light on the product. There is no light on this product. Moreover the 5X in the product description has absolutely no connection with anything that we have been able to determine. It's more like a 2X magnification through a not very good Fresnel lens which is almost impossible to read through clearly. This is a nearly useless product with a very inaccurate description and of no value to anyone that I can see. Avoided all costs! Caveat emptor
