Maxwell and Williams Cashmere Cup and Saucer, 8-Ounce

Handsome, light and easy to clean and maintain. They are simple cups, but just right for an afternoon cappuccino or flat white. I would buy them again.

Too thin and light.

I decided to try this single cup and saucer to check out the dinnerware line. The bone china is not delicate, but thin like it should be. Snap it with your fingernail and you get that lovely bone china ring that tells you this is the real deal. The handle of the cup is well placed and perfectly sized for comfortable holding. I enjoy the 8 ounce capacity over the larger mugs. It just seems more elegant. I know where the tea/coffee pot is for a second cup!My con is that the saucer is very much a bowl and makes it a bit difficult to get hold of the cup if you have large fingers like I do. No problem once up, because the handle itself is properly sized. #2 con is the well the cup base fits in is way too shallow; the cup easily slides around the saucer. This saucer design will keep me from purchasing the whole dinnerware set in favor of one with flatter plates and saucers, but if that's not an issue for you, or if you like the coupe design in dinnerware and you are looking for affordable fine bone china, this wouldn't be a bad choice. This saucer needs to be designed to do what a saucer is supposed to do by keeping the cup in place.If I find a better designed saucer that matches the white color, maybe . . . because I do really like the cup a lot.

I bought this cup and saucer for my daughters ancient artifact project and it was perfect! She had to write about Chinese Porcelain and this was a perfect example! We used an enamel paint marker and she painted a traditional design on it! It came out perfect and for $10 bucks we had a project done! The cup and saucer were in perfect shape and nicely could be used for their intended purpose but I always like to share when something works for another unexpected use! Lovely!

Just what I was hoping for...clean white, lightweight bone china coffee cups. Fit in the hand comfortably, wash easily. The rims of the saucers are a slight bit rough, but the cup rims are smooth.The labels on both the cups and saucers are very difficult to get off. I tried to peel them off while dry but they were very resistant. I assumed if I put the cups and saucers in the dishwasher they would just slide off. Nope...still there. But at least they came off a bit easier while they were hot and wet. Yes, I would buy again, and I may buy four more right now.
