This is a brilliant way of protecting against relay theft. This small, metal box is well made and completely blocks the signals emitted by the keys of keyless entry cars. It is these signals that thieves are able to grab and boost, with devices readily available online, in order to mimic your key and commit relay thefts.The box is big enough to fit in your car key but there is very little space left over and most keyrings would not fit. This does make it more portable though and therefore is an advantage.It is durable and will outlast any Faraday wallets. These contain metal foils which can develop tears/holes with repeated use, rendering them useless at the job of blocking your key's signals.It is expensive but the higher price is mitigated by not needing to replace Faraday pouches every few months/years. Unlike a Faraday pouch, you can rest assured that this relatively thick metal box will reliably block your key's signal.

Better than pouches. Good quality. Dropped multiple times and still looks good as new. Good value for money. Fits well into pocket.

I bought 2 of these for my car to replace countless fabric Faraday pouches (even "premium ones") that work for a couple months or so before becoming useless. I have been using these for coming up to a year now with no issue.Pros: Good quality of manufacture. Effective Faraday cage. Car will not open when placed right next to door handle. Box can easily fit into a pocket. Cons: You can only fit the car key & key ring into the box but no other keys will fit. I have a silicone casing over my keys. The price is a bit much but you are getting what you are paying for and putting it into the context of not having to continuously replace fabric pouches it's not that bad. Would have been nice if it was a little bigger to also fit a single key ring accessory.

Dragged ourselves into the modern age and got a car with keyless entry. This then opened up a whole range of worries about how easy it would be to gain entry etc.We could have disabled the keyless entry but that would still leave the engine start open to the same vulnerabilities. Anyway you will know all this which is why you are looking.This was a lot more expensive than the fabric pouches but it is very well made soft lining and a super snug closure. Works perfect and even touching the car with the key inside fails to unlock it.I believe this will last for years as opposed to months as the fabric faraday pouches seem too.So for the over thinkers and worriers out there that would rather have had a good old key your not alone by any stretch, get this sleep easy and dream of that rust bucket you had in 1980. Best car I ever had.

Ordered this key tin for my keyless car after trying faraday pouches that did not last very long (2 pouches failed in less than 3 months!) I have tested this tin and it does indeed block the signal on my Suzuki Swift Sport, and the key fits perfectly (just the key without any keyrings) and since this tin is a solid construction I am hoping it will last longer than the pouches it is replacing... I will update in time! I recommend over the pouches!!!!!3 MONTH UPDATE: This tin is still working 100% even after dropping it a few times and scratching it up a little! I have managed to squeeze it into one of the faraday pouches for a bit of extra protection to the tin with my clumsiness and it hides the scratches!BUY ONE OF THESE IF YOU HAVE A KEYLESS VEHICLE5 YEAR UPDATE!!Yes 5 years on and this key tin is still working and blocking the signal of my car key! How can I be sure? Because even now and then there are times I forget to take the key out of the tin before I get to the car carrying hands or arms full or stuff and try using a finger to press the button on the doors or boot to get reminded the car won’t unlock as the key is still in the tin

I rarely leave reviews on Amazon but felt compelled to do so on this occasion as car security has become more of an issue as thieves are increasingly using relay technology to steal keyless entry cars.This is a superb product that works exactly as advertised and has given me real peace of mind. In fact after buying the first one, I bought a second one for my spare key.Once in the case it completely blocks the key signal. Even holding the case against the car didn’t allow me to gain access. I also tested it by putting the key in the case whilst sat in the car, and it immediately blocked the signal and I was unable to start. As a bonus it also looks quite nice.One downside is that it is quite big. It is slightly smaller than a credit card but fat. This makes it a little tricky if you want to carry it around in your trouser pocket. As mentioned above, I need to take it out of the case in order to open and start my car which can be a bit of pain if your hands are full.However given the protection it offers this is a small price to pay.It is also worth mentioning that I purchased a very similar item from a different manufacturer and not only did not work, my key struggled to fit and the outer dimensions were even larger. My key is for a VW Golf and fits with room to spare. So if you have bigger key it should fit.

After my best friend's car got broken into, I started doing some research on how to make my car safer, especially cos I love my BMW and I couldn' bare the thought of someone stealing it. So I found out about these safe boxes for car keys and I bumped into this one, which seemed really well made. I decided to buy it. Delivery was very quick, which is another bonus. My first impression was about the quality of the material: you can tell that it's not one of those cheap products from China...The other thing I liked is that it looks very stylish, doesn't take room in my bag but at the same time it's perfect for my BMW car key. I tried it and it works perfectly, no chance of starting the engine whilst the key is in it. I couldn't be happier. Worth every penny!
