My dog loves these! She's not a big chewer except for right when I get home - then she chews out her excitement on one of these toys for a solid 10-15min.As a dog with allergies and food sensitivities, we have limited options. I like that the original Dogwood is wood flavored and so does my dog. It has no animal biproduct (like antlers or bones) or flavors (like bacon or peanut butter) that could trigger her allergies since we give her the one with no added flavorings.As she chews this does develop a sharp point, but by the time it gets there the toy should be replaced. It doesn't splinter, though it can leave little flakes on the ground and she does eat some (all small enough for her to pass naturally). This is a very firm bone, possibly slightly more maleable than a traditional nylon bone, but not by much. My dog is young and has healthy teeth so I'm not too worried about it.

These bones have lasted my chewer quite a while, he consistently chews on this bone and has had it for close to a year! It was worth the money!

I have been buying this toy for my Golden retriever since he was a puppy and I know he really enjoys playing with this. It's not soft and not so hard. My dog is a heavy chewer and it lasts almost 3-4 months.

The blue rubbery toy isn’t very durable. Not sure if the pieces that the dog was able chew off were safe, but I hope they are! The wooden stick is way more durable, but she doesn’t seem to like it as much. Go figure!

We have ordered a handful of these bones for our 6 dogs (5 German Shepherds and 1 Pitbull)And they last a long time our dogs love them! They don’t splinter or make a mess and don’t cost a ton we haven’t bought the fresh breath ones before until now I hope it’ll help with a couple of our dogs but I highly recommend these bones for your fur babies.

My twenty month old Golden Retriever loves to chew and this is one of the few products I have purchased that has lasted. My dog loves to chew this and I love it because it is safe and long lasting.

I purchased these for 3 heavy chewers (2 mixed breeds and a German Shepherd). They held up fairly well. I did not notice any splintering or random pieces coming off. However, upon checking one of my dog's teeth, we noticed some considerable wear after using these bones. (She is a 3 year old dog). After that, we have thrown them away and switched to rubber textured products. Had I known they were going to cause that much damage, that quickly, we would have not purchased. The dogs did love them, however, the benefit is not worth the damage to their teeth.

Great stick for dogs. My dog loves it, lasts long time.

It is big but our GR does chew on it at times

I bought this for my 7 month old lab. He goes through a bully stick in 5-10 minutes, and a yack cheese chew in 5 days or so (just for reference). My dog loves to chew sticks and wood, to the point that it's been giving him stomach problems (I have no idea where he's been finding these things...) He's been chewing a medium sized NewHide chew for about 3 days and has hardly made a dent. He really enjoys it!The chews are exactly as represented in the picture. They appear to be made of compressed fiber, so they don't splinter at all. Definitely would recommend!

Dog uses it daily. He'll go to a bully stick first, but they're expensive, so this is a good substitute for heavy chewers.

My pup loves to chew on branches, sticks, pine cones. Thought this would be a nice replacement and more suitable. She'll use it but it's not her favorite chew toy. It is nice a sturdy and I don't see any signs of wear after 4 weeks.
