Anker / Anchor Stone Froebel Gift Set 5

Description

The classic Froebel Gift 5 set made from the faux stone blocks of the Anker-Steinbaukasten factory in Germany. Froebel invented Kindergarten and inspired a generation of artists and architects, including Frank Lloyd Wright. The wooden block Gift sets also inspired Froebel's neighbor, Friedrich A Richter, to produce the blocks in a cast stone version. The Anker block sets became world renown architectural building toys, and now the factory has returned full circle by producing the Froebel Gift sets. The Gift 5 set contains stone cubes, triangular prism half-cubes and quarter-cubes in a wood box with a slide-top.
