Same exact stuff as in the store. Took longer for delivery than what it was supposed to be.

Only comes in one version which is lightly sanded. Next time I do tile with small grout joints I will use regular unsanded grout. It is fine in the pot for about 50 minutes like the direction says but they do not mention that it will set up on your tile in 5 to 10 minutes. I found that I could only grout 5 sq ft at a time before I had to work it. It was a nightmare using a utility knife to scrape the grout off the wall next to the joints on the back wall of a tub surround because I tried to do the entire wall at once. I learned my lesson and the side walls went fine. TEC said 3 to 3.5 oz water to 1 lb. of powder but I thought that was too stiff and think 4 oz works better. It is a great product where you need sanded grout or the grout joints are not very small.

I bought this product for my shower surround because it had the sealer already added. Little did I know that I would regret that decision. I didn’t know when I bought this product that it had such a short “pot life”. They sell a 7lb. bag of this product with mixing directions for use of the whole package. I had roughly 60sq ft of tile to grout (tub to ceiling, sides and back of tub). I mixed the entire bag per the directions and started applying to the tile. Started applying to one side wall and grout was going on good. Once I got half way down the last wall, the grout began to get a little less easy to apply. I finished the wall as I figured once I wiped it off it would be fine. It took me 30-45 min to apply all the grout to the tile. I got cold water from my adjacent bathroom and started wiping down the tile and grout. By the time I got half way down the back wall, I was becoming difficult to work the grout smooth in the joints or remove the grout off the face of the tiles. By the time I got to the third wall, I couldn’t wipe the grout at all of either the grout joints or the face of the tile. I immediately tried to contact the company, but this was on Sunday. Sent an Email and received a reply a few days later. Was told that the product only has a 30min-1hr pot life (Mine was the 30 min). That means the product would’ve had to been applied and wiped down in that amount of time. If you look at the package, it says a 7lb. bag can cover a 26x26 room. I’m not sure how you can grout and wipe down that sq ft in 30min-1hr with getting water and wiping the tile down twice. The company was responsive, but had no solution to the issue after 2 weeks of waiting, only to tell me that they would reimburse me for the bag I used. Like I would ever use this product again. I tried to remove the grout a variety of ways, but nothing would work as it’s grout. Today I final had enough of not getting a solution or proper reimbursement (time and materials) and demoed all of the tile and backer board out and will be starting over. I will be taking the additional bag of grout and mortar back to the retailer and getting a refund. I will be buying another product from another retailer and will never purchase any product from this company again.

We always use this grout. Has a sealer already in it and sets fast.
