Very Good Shooter's Earbuds
My husband and I shoot regularly together and have been wanting electronic earbuds because it is so difficult to talk to one another while at the range. Our range tends to be busy, so taking off ear protection is not ideal and he has some hearing loss, so hearing with traditional earplugs is especially difficult. I recently purchased a set of these and tried them our this weekend while shooting rifles, shotguns, and pistols. On outdoor mode they really dampened down the wind and other environmental sounds (which were amplified by indoor mode). They did a great job of picking up and amplifying voices. The difference between these and traditional earplugs is that they don't muffle loud sounds like gunfire in the same way. Shots sounded louder than they would with plain earplugs, but the sound was not painful or unpleasant. Once I adjusted to how things sounded with them on, I thought they were great. We were also at the range for about four hours and they were still going with no issues when we packed up to leave. He will be getting a pair for his birthday in a few weeks. One review did mention an issue with his earbuds amplifying the sound from a .22 caliber. I did notice, when someone near us switched from a larger caliber rifle to a .22 the first shot he fired did sound very loud (not ear-ringingly painful, but quite loud); however, the rest of his shots were very muffled. I wonder if very small calibers like a .22 simply aren't loud enough to be immediately recognized and dampened by the earbuds?All-in-all, these were very simple to use, fit well, and met my expectations. I would recommend them.

Did not work at all. Totally Worthless.
Perhaps my worst Amazon purchase ever. These earbuds actually AMPLIFIED the gunshots at the range. I shot one round out of my 9mm and my ears were ringing in pain for 5 minutes because these did not cut any of the noise at all, they amplified it. And I mean that quite sincerely. They actually made the blast louder. I honestly was shocked that something could fail so miserably at its entire purpose. I emailed the company and got no response for two days so I just returned them for a credit. I got a generic email from them after the fact which I ignored since it was too late to proceed with some other remedy. Perhaps I got a defective unit but that’s my personal experience. It’s a shame. I really wanted to use them at the outdoor range I go to every week.

Nice!!!
I put these in and was shocked at how great they work. You do start to feel them after a couple hrs but they are not horrible at all. I really like the sound quality they have and the noise cancellation. Great product.I will definitely order another pair

Charging issue
Bought two pairs of these electronic earbuds. Did not have an issue of amplified noise while shooting, but as one gentleman wrote, I have the same charging issue. Nothing concerning the lights and what they mean. I did find, after an over night charge, the lights where as they were on the initial charge. Four indicator lights on the charging station between the earbuds and a red light on each earbud. My first attempt to re-charge was for about 5hrs. with no results. Reached out to customer service five days ago with no results, yet. This might be a waste of a review because I noticed these are not available anymore.

for the money, they are hard to beat
I'm an avid shooter, and occasionally I even participate in pistol competitions.I've been using both static, in-ear protection (foam ear plugs) and non-electronic ear muffs for 20+ years. These ear buds are actually my first venture into electronic hearing protection. I was only interested in the noise-cancelling feature (I don't care about Bluetooth, etc). I just wanted something that worked well, to protect my hearing.I am very happy with these ear buds. They're comfortable and lightweight. They hold their charge for at least 3 to 4 hours (I have not worn them for any longer periods, yet). The ambient sound amplification is something I'm still getting used to (footsteps across a gravel walkway, other shooters talking among themselves) because I'm accustomed to ALL sounds being muted. When it comes to actual discharges from firearms (whether it's my own gun, or shooters nearby), the sound reduction is impressive. I'd describe it like hearing a gunshot on a TV show or in a movie.Yes, of course I can still hear it. But it's muted/decreased to the point where it sounds like the Cinematic Version, not the real thing.I've live-tested these on 2 occasions at this point.First, I visited the rifle range (ICYW .223 Rem and .308 Win).A few days later, I hit up the pistol range. I shot a few different guns/calibers; the largest (and loudest, by far) was .44 Magnum. These ear buds blocked the sound to the point where all I heard was a "whomp".My hand is still sore from recoil, but my ears are unaffected.I should point out that I have not yet tried these ear buds at an indoor range. However, I am aware that sounds will be amplified.I will follow up with results.

Ear tips are not long enough
the units power up fine and screw into your outer ear easily locking in place and feeling comfortable. however even when rolled and worked in as deep as possible, the main plastic housing is bottomed out on the outside of my ear, the foam tips still aren't in deep enough in my ear canal to prevent normal sound from leaking around even the largest tips. I had some 3M skull screws handy, installed them on the GloryFires. Much better no power sound seal !! I thought I had found the solution but... the skull screws are twice as long so now the units don't fit in the charging box, the electrical contacts are held off by the skull screws being longer than the recesses in the charging box are deep. Tried forcing the lid down, it closed, but now the skull screws are smashed, the receiver cavity for the tips is no where deep enough for the longer tips. Hummm... too many buggs. I'm not even going to try the shooting sound clamp feature. Returning them.
