An End To Constant Punctures …. Maybe!
One of the problems with living on the coast is mussel shells in the proms, they play havoc with thin 23C slicks. So I decided to give the Marathons a go. Firstly a big shout out to Baldwins who fulfilled my order so swiftly and efficiently p.Now regarding the fitting. A lot of commenters fell that fitting is tricky, I disagree. I think the key is making sure you have plenty of soapy water on the rim and on the tyre bead. Like this the on to rim initial fit was problem free and I was able to thumb the last few inches on. So with the tube in place (I avoided any pre inflation) it was fairly easy to get most of the tyre on by hand leaving, again the last few inches, and a couple of tyre lever used simultaneously flicked the tyre onto the rim. Don’t use metal spoons as you will possibly pinch the tube, I did!,but a really good brand of plastic levers will flick it on.As to the ride, puncture resistance and wear - only time will tell but I’m confident enough not to have spare tube and tyre levers taped to my down tube any more.

Really long life
This is a replacement for one purchased in 2020. The bike is used often and this has only just worn out

Great tire, bulletproof, but very hard to install
This is a brilliant tire if you want something that you'd have to shoot with a nailgun to puncture and that rolls reasonably well. I use it as a winter training tire/general around town tire on my winter/commuting bike, and can't recommend it highly enough for those purposes. The only downside is that they're incredibly hard to get on the rim, so I would recommend this more if you're not taking them off very often. This is quite a downside for me though, as I frequently want to swap them onto my gravel bike for road rides or to put my turbo trainer tire onto my winter bike. They're such a pain I've pretty much stopped doing both.

Good quality for good price
I've used them for around a month and q half and I have to say they are doing a good job. My old tyre would cause me alot of problems but these tyres really are doing quite a job. I do reccomend them if your budget isn't massive. They are the best you will get for the price without a doubt.

Good quality tyre for winter
Good amount of tread for autumn and winter riding. Stiff to get on on but

One of best tyre
I purchased 2 tyres ("Continental Ultra Gator Skin Trye 700x23 DS" for front and "Schwalbe Marathon Tyre" for rear) and installed on bicycle during first week of January.Comparison is as below after 170 days.Punctures: Schwalbe got none whereas Continental got 2Miles logged: Schwalbe has 2500 miles whereas Continental required replaced due to side wall damage after 2100 miles. I bought a new Schwalbe for front wheel too.Current state: Schwalbe is still in very good shape and going on whereas Continental is not usable and replaced a month back.

Bomb Proof Tyres
I've had Marathons on my touring bike for several years and never had a puncture. Now I've put them on my road bike. Much more comfortable than slicks and I have more confidence in them. One star dropped because they're ridiculously hard to fit.
