Super Singer! I'm impressed. Beats other brands in my opinion.
I love my Singer 1306 sewing machine.... I had a Brother machine for years and always struggled with it, eventually it became unusable. Then I bought a Janome machine which was Ok but had no light and started to develop problems after I stitched through some fake fur... oops. I tried to see if I could get into the bobbin and needle plate area to perhaps see if there was a build up of fluff but the machine did not allow access and even my husband had to admit defeat... the tension alterations made no difference, neither did brushing the bobbin holder for possible thread or lint, hovering it, or oiling the machine... with plenty of missed stitches and tension problems I came to the conclusion that the machine was now useless... it was getting easier to see by hand and less frustrating!!!This is a cut above them both, easy instructions, lovely little light, attractive design, easy to open the bobbin area so I can keep an eye on fluff build up and debris, it even comes with a button hole attachment, blind hemming stitch and instructions, embroidery plate, light, good thread guide; better than the other brands. It has a feel of overall better design, with more consideration of the needs of the customers...I looked up their history and Singer were the first company to introduce a domestic sewing machine. I think you can tell when you own one. It even allows me to control the speed through the foot pedal, unlike the Janome I had and is less clunky, ugly and heavy than the troublesome Brother machine I had.
