Dang its hot
CONS:I was super excited about getting this but I can say right now Im a bit disappointed. The handle gets super hot, it burns my hand even while wearing the glove included in the kit. The tips dont seem to hold the heat stable so you don't get a smooth burn, also the tips while using them get loose no matter how tight I screw them in.PROS: This kit is big, the amount of tips you get is great. I love the caseUPDATE: Seller fixed the issue. I am super impressed with their customer service.

Great starter kit
This tool is so easy to use. It comes with so many great accessories. I was really able to get used to the tool. I love that it came with its own case so I have a place to store everything.

Caution: Learning curve ahead 🤪
Ok so this was an upgrade for me. I had been using the $10 Harbor Freight wood burning tool with the screw-in nibs, and was doing pretty well for a newbie (in the photos I attached, the blue pyro-paint mountain silhouette was done with the $10 tool). But I knew that to up my game and increase my abilities, I'd need something "more". I debated betweenthis one and the Colwood brand, and honestly, i know Colwood is an awesome brand but I chose this one because it was $50 cheaper and the reviews that were available didn't suck. ....now the nitty-gritty: I've only played with it a little bit (see the other two photos of the cowboy/horse, the Bee, and the Coffee). It's quite different than the tool I had been accustomed to but that's on me...not the tool itself. I'm struggling with the temperature dial and the read out....it displays in volts. I've googled how to convert volts to watts and/or temperature but it feels like a foreign language to me.So I have no idea what temp I'm burning at and therefore it's a game of trial/error & adjusting that teensy screw while praying I know what I'm doing....oh and when I flick the switch between the two pens, without changing the dial, it will display two different voltage numbers...is that normal?Anyhow....I don't think it's a bad machine at all, I just think there needs to be better instructions for terminal blondes like myself and given time and tons of practice, I'm sure I'll master all the secrets of the Pyrography Universe.Oh and speaking of instructions....the paper instructions that came with my Tekchic wood burner reads word-for-word exactly like the instructions on the Colwood brand website for THEIR wood burners....hmmmmm, now that's interesting.

Great!
Perfect for cutting mesh for my wreath making business!! I love that I can set it at 350°, which seems to be perfect for that!

If you are new . . . Don't Bother!!
Let me start by saying that I buy, review positively, and work personally with Chinese companies quite a bit. I have not come across a set of instructions that are as lacking as those for this soldering iron, in a very long time. There is not a single word or phrase in these directions that tell you anything about the basic operation of this iron! Descriptions of the various parts and pieces, but nothing comprehensible regarding their installation or use. Nothing what-so-ever on the basic use of it! A long section on the changing of the password . . . PASSWORD?!? For a soldering iron?? Huh?? Granted, I’ve not used one since 1975, when the only password you needed was to get into the local . . . sorry. . . I digress. After a week futzing around, and failing, trying to get the thing to just warm up . . . I gave up! I went over the instructions with a magnifying glass, literally. Absolutely no help. No website. No QR code to scan. No brand name to google for video help. Zero! Do not bother!

Wood-burning tool
Those of you that craft with DECO mesh, this set up is a game changer when cutting. I have a self healing rubber mat, two tempered glass trivets and a wood burning/soldering tool that the heat can be adjusted up to 500°. I just cut 68 pieces in 15-20 minutes.
