Fast and portable
I love my new gpd win, i made sure to get the 7840u model because reviews show it having a huge improvement of performance over the 6800u model. I FRICKIN LOVE IT! I want to carry it with me everywhere i go lol it plays everything i can throw at it then plus the oculink port is awesomesauce! Im building an egpu soon and i definitely see this being my everyday computing rig also, the big server tower days are coming to an end which is what im turning my desktop into now that i have this 😁😁😁

GREAT CONSOLE BUGGY SYSTEM
The console is an amazing product but needs more software support. Also after one day of using the handheld, the touchscreen stopped working with no fix. It has a hard time holding a charge now and if you reformat your device the driver are not install you have to re-download them.... why? Overall, it is a powerful console for its size and can run most games fine. I wish the team at GPD will have better software support and control for example "fan control", "power saver"

Not good.
Worst expense ever? if you left out a charger for one week, you don’t charge it again. I use your original charger. It doesn’t work. I buy a new charger doesn’t work. I try everything nothing work. Tried to reset try to restart nothing work.

Way more fun than I expected
Honestly, I don't have much time for games anymore. I mainly got this device to serve as a mini computer with occasional gameplay. That said, I installed Steam and put a couple older games I enjoy on it and got playing. I was having a blast! The controls work great so far, the mouse emulation mode is excellent for games with no (or bad) controller support. The system runs well, the specs are impressive considering its size. The battery life is ok. I wish it could get 3-4 hours of gameplay on reasonably demanding games, but that's not realistic. The only reason to dock a star is the random problems. The touch screen randomly stops working. There was supposably a firmware update that fixes this, which I installed, and it is better, but not totally fixed. Also, the initial Windows 11 install flat out stopped working (wouldn't boot) right after installing updates. All-in-all, the system is great, but these little bugs are very problematic, especially at this price point. When paying this much money you expect things to work a bit better than this. If you're a gamer who doesn't mind a little tinkering, this is a great purchase.

Great while it lasted
Loved this product but the screen went out after about 5 months. Got no response from the manufacturer when trying to submit a warranty claim. I had an extended warranty with Asurion, which turned into them seizing the item instead of repairing it. Never buying from GPD or Asurion again.

Portable powerhouse
I'm a long time collector of ultra-mobile PCs. This is one of the devices I'm happiest to have in my collection. It's terrific for gaming; 10 years ago I wouldn't have thought we would ever see small handhelds capable of running modern games... but here we are! The Win 4 is also just a fun device to play around with in general; having a full operating system on a device with this form factor is a treat.I should add: The seller was very responsive to my questions and was willing to work directly with the manufacturer (GPD) to see issues resolved.

I would have given it 5 stars but there's some issues
This product has so many great things going for it, this is by far revolutionary hardware, but at the same time, it comes with some flaws.Good thing is the system is very responsive with very little input lag. The screen looks very nice, Games on the GPD win4 run amazing without needing to watch the temperature of the GPD win 4 and these are with triple A games with AMD adrenaline software, you can get more battery life using frame Gen already pre installed with AMD adrenaline software. You can use anti input lag to decrease the response time whenever you push a button, in addition you have picture sharpness, which makes everything seem like it's sharper in super resolution even with older games. Now the bad news: This device will require its users some more advanced PC knowledge, you have to ensure that you enable system recovery, and also enable system recovery partitions for all drives. The reason is the windows is very buggy on this machine I wouldn't say it's due to anything on GPD end it's more or less. This new integrated graphics technology, it requires super fast memory (Ryzen 7 processor and 8840 U graphics integration) + Windows 11 Running on a small pc, like this one can cause a lot of issues, after owning this now for about 4 months the operation system has crashed twice, not even including that, since there is issues and system32 files I couldn't even log in to my pc using my password because it wouldn't load.I was able to fix it: it required a new SSD M2 drive( literally the fastest SSD on the market with 7,000 mbs set you back about another $200 in my case I got a 4TB SSD so for me it was about $350.00, that extra boost in memory speed helped a lot the SSD that it came with is not bad by any means, the issue is, this is very new technology. With a small portable factor with Windows 11 installed on such a tiny pc. Requires a lot more faster memory. ( By all means, I love windows eleven, so please make more devices with windows 11 as an option, but consider for new people steam OS option so there's less issues)Unless: you are technically computer savvy, can tinker with your GPD maybe even change out the SSD, maybe even deal with a bit of crashes every now and then, if you're willing to do that. When this thing is optimized it's the best gaming handheld on a market, but I cannot say it beginner friendly, and you have to be willing to tinker ( who knows might have had a lemon) but now it's working amazing, but it does require the fastest memory on the market FYI.

Want to live be the product but it arrived with flaws
They did a crapy job applying the screen protector. The r2 button wobbles and slips when you press it in, i dont think the back shell is tight anuf. I tried to get the company to do a replacement but they just offered me a replacement part and told me im on my own to repair the product. And i have a felling this product was used. I keep it in a case all the time and i noticed a chip on the lanyard hook.Edit: They replaced the defective unit when the return was no window closed, they where easy to work with to even with the time difference.
