A very good book for beginners and more experienced stitchers. Patterns to follow and parts of patterns you can use to make your own designs.

A complete beginner should read the introduction first as it explains the techniques used in the book. I have been paper embroidering for years and found the instructions refreshingly simple and logical. If you look at the examples you can see what the text is saying on how to make up the cards too. Great patterns that different elements can be taken out and used seperately. Worth every penny.

This book has lots of patterns in it and are very easy to follow. Have not done this for a long time but the instructions are very clear.

I expected some complete layouts and patterns for flower cards, something simple to copy whilst being a beginner. Some of the instructions didn't make sense. Very disappointed. Each design showed told you that you needed 'a cArt Us grid No ......' special card ... etc. Yes I could work it out if I took the trouble but not what I wanted and I didn't want to buy grids, or specialised punches, just something simple.

this is a beautiful book very well explained with beautiful colour photo and patterns can't wait to try some if not all of the designs, also brilliant price for the book as well, well worth buying

I am so glad that at last I have found a new book on embroidered cards. They are quite different to what I already have and look forward to seeing more in future.

I love this book, but be aware that it has a lot in common with string art in general - the abstract designs remind me of the string art done in the '70's. Having said that, the designs and presentation are gorgeous, as well as the color selections. I personally do not like adding stickers to cards, which they seem to do in a lot of their designs, but I can opt to do something different - that does not take away from the beautiful embroidery designs, which consist primarily of florals, waves, and abstracts.

I like making my own cards as they represent my personal taste as well as my caring because I took the time to make it myself. It has been difficult to find patterns that are for mature adults rather than children. This book did not disappoint. It contains instructions for the tools you will need and the designs are gorgeous. Each design has alternatives so there is no end to the creativity. Highly recommend for the novice and the intermediate card maker.
