Silverline 456965 Mini In-Line Oiler 1/4" BSP

I bought this for my airpowered tools like reciprocating saw, so i use it with a quickcoupler on the input and a 6mm push connector on the output (so i have a clear 6mm tube in there then i can see the oil and the saw is much lighter than with the heavy big 10mm hose)

As per description.Can't comment on longlevity yet.Used it couple of times with an orbital sander.The oiler would take in around 3 cubic cm. (apologies for not using imperial) of machine oil which will be consumed within 15 minutes of work.Heard a pro call these things as resource and money wasters. This item is definitely not meant for professional use,rather it's a simplified complimentary of a full scale professional air compressor oiler.

This oiler looks reasonably well made. The fill hole is small, so is a little tricky to fill.The reason for 3 stars is that for the one I have, it injects too much oil.I fitted it onto an impact wrench and within about 1 minute of operation the reservoir was empty.

Seems ok. Thought I’d get a silverline oiler to go with silverline nailer

Received quickly, ideal for my needs to connect directly to air tools or via small pressure adjuster. Well made and makes working a lot easier as can be used on all air tools.

I wasn't sure what to expect at the price but the piece turns out to be surprisingly well made and will provide a useful back up if I drop anything on my other oiler as happened recently. Beware the Perspex reservoir on this type of oiler as they are in the line near the tool and they can get cracked if you are careless as I was and then leak.

These really are a waste of time and money, they dump far too much oil into the air tool they are connected to and before you know it the entire reservoir has emptied itself into the tool and oil is everywhere!They are supposed to release a tiny amount of oil as they are used but these just dump all the oil into the air tool in less than 30secs.If I hadn't destroyed the packaging I would send them back!
