I bought this for some wood handles(skins/scales) of some pocket knives,I found no benifit of the satin finish,so I went with linseed oil instead.That worked amazingly

New to working with resin models, I wasn't too sure what to expect here. This product gives a nice semi-glossy varnish to surfaces.Beware, however, that it can take a bit to dry, so if you are varnishing parts before assembly and lie it on a surface to dry, you will come back to a tacky collection of varnish on the part of the model that was face down.Not deducting a star for this, as it can be negated by simply varnishing the front of an object, letting it dry, then varnishing the back.

I paint Warhammer 40k miniatures for commission. I use Vallejo varnish on all of my miniatures and I really can't say enough good things about it. The Satin Varnish dries quickly and doesn't leave a glossy finish. It's perfectly clear every time I use it. I usually apply two coats with a large paint brush, waiting about 12-24 hours between coats to let it cure. I've never had any issues with this product. I stay away from spray varnish(like Krylon varnish) because it tends to create a snowy effect if you're not careful and the fumes are quite toxic. This varnish is clear no matter how thick I slather it on and I don't need a $50 ventilator mask to use it. The 60ml volume contains enough varnish for 75-100 miniatures. That's a huge value.Unfortunately it seems to no longer be available on Amazon. It's hard to find. If you manage to find some buy first, ask questions later :)

I really like this sealant! I've been using it for little details here and there on a doll I'm working on and while it's not flush as say a coating of Super Mr Clear would be I like that little extra protection and you can't really tell unless you're looking for it. I've also used it on a resin jewelry piece I wanted to remove the shine from. I can scrape my nail against it and it doesn't leave a dent or peel. I'm very impressed! :D

A very good brush-on finish that is self-leveling and perfect for when you want your hand-painted figurine/ wargaming miniature to have that little bit of sheen.

Used it to seal some of my super sculpey works and the result is amazing!A bit on the pricey side but totally recommended!

Great varnish for miniatures! It gives just enough shine to the minis. A medium between matte and gloss varsnishes
